#Repost @nikirussfederman ・・・ I love my customers, but I also love when it’s just me and the caviar. And yes, that is some rare Golden Osetra. The New Years caviar marathon has begun! #caviar #appetizingsince1914 #russanddaughters
For the 8th and final night, Rebecca Zauss, our wonderful General Manager of Russ & Daughters at the Jewish Museum came from the Upper East Side to the Lower East Side to light the menorah. That’s a wrap on Chanukah until next year. #appetizingsince1914 #lowereastside #Chanukah #hanukkah #nyc

Russ & Daughters caviar — and roe — is available in many flavor profiles, colors, and prices. Shake up your New Year’s Eve party with our amazing alternatives: Wild Alaskan Salmon Roe, French Trout Roe, and Wasabi-Infused Flying Fish Roe. Serve with blini and creme fraiche, or as a topping for latkes, hors d’oeuvres, and smoked fish! #AppetizingSince1914 #RussAndDaughters #caviar #NYC #LowerEastSide #Brooklyn #UpperEastSide⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (Photo by @lizbarclay_)
Keeping with our Hanukkah tradition, our menorah lighter for the 7th night is Benjamin Raphael, a New York actor and friend with deep roots on the Lower East side. His Grandfather grew up in the neighborhood, right off of Essex Street. Both his grandparents were frequent Russ & Daughters customers. Here, Ben is explaining to a couple why the menorah is lit in a specific direction. Many thanks to Ben and company for celebrating with us tonight. #appetizingsince1914 #russanddaughters #Hanukkah #chanukah #lowereastside
“Tonight we can think of no one more special to us than the group of people who make Russ & Daughters run every day. We are grateful that you are part of this tradition,” said Niki Russ Federman in English and Spanish. Lighting the menorah on the 6th night was Alina Sheffi, a fixture of the original shop for 25 of our 105 years. Originally from Israel, Alina sang the blessing as she learned it in Israel. Our amazing culinary team, headed up by Head Chef Alec Roche and Sous Chef, Kasia Lemenek, briefly paused work in the kitchen to join. Afterwards, store GM, Johanna Shipman, and cafe GM Emily Cintron conferred and kibitzed at the bar after a long day. #AppetizingSince1914 #russanddaughters #Chanukah #Hanukkah #nyc
