@Rion I tried the Universal XML Scraper and it pretty much screwed up my games list.

Clrmame pro for me, even for none mame sets.

Although i have to admit i had one problem with clrmamepro the other day with a goodgb64 (commdore 64) set i had downloaded. the roms were all named incorrectly and when using clrmamepro to rename the zips it had renamed all zips correctly as well as the (root) filename inside the zip but had removed all extensions for the files inside the zip for some reason. Could be it had to do with the xml file i used (came from hyperlist of hyperspin because i'm using motionblue image). So what i did then was extract all zips in a new directory and then used dons-hyperspin-tools with CRC checking only it renamed the roms correctly and left the file extensions intact. (If the extension got removed i had problems loading the roms) afterwards i zipped each file again using winrar.

not sure what the problem was though since i had done the exact same thing with a hyperlist database XML for nintendo ds with clrmame pro and then i had left the rom extensions intact inside the zip. It was the first time i actually had a problem with clrmame pro.

@UDb23 said in Tutorial: create Vector logo from bitmap:

Btw it sounds strange to me when you say cs2 is free. Where did you find this?

Yeah, I felt the same at first but it is an official Adobe page. You can get all the CS2 stuff for free, they just don't offer any updates and support for it anymore.

Go to this page and click on CS2
Now you should be presented with a username and psw login page
Create an account or if you have one already just login
At the next page (Read before you download a CS2 product ) tick the checkbox where it says "I accept"
Now scroll down and click on the language of your choice to open the links to all the CS2 products with their serial numbers.

  Done!
I could just post the direct links with serial numbers for English windows version if this forum allows it then you wouldn't need to do all the above steps.

@Darksavior i am aware. i was not happy with any shader for the gameboy. every overlay i have seen arent any good because they arent pixel accurate placed lines. i made an overlay specific to my screen resolution. for these to lookany good they have to be specific to the resolution size. not as good as that shader but i think its way better than anything on the pi at the moment for gameboy. if you are on a small device you will have to click on the pic to enlarge it to see how it really looks. i will settle on this for the time being. plus overlays have no slowdown. if you like it any i can make it in whatever resolution you are using. @mediamogul i would love your opinion or critique on this

@petrockblog said in 4 Players with ControlBlock:

A single ControlBlock provides connectors for two four-way joysticks, 8 buttons, plus Start, Coin, A, and B button.

That is also described at http://blog.petrockblock.com/gadgets/controlblock-power-switch-game-controllers-and-io-for-the-raspberry-pi/.

Thanks for pointing me to that documentation and clearing that up. So, it sounds like I have room for more buttons than I will need, which is great! I'll analyze how many buttons I actually need but it sounds like I have plenty of head room.

petrockblog, do you happen to know if I can utilize the buttons connected to the ControlBlock IN CONJUNCTION WITH a USB controller? IE: Can I plug a USB controller in that Player 3 uses, while the others use the buttons on the cabinet? Can any play choose to utilize either a USB controller OR the buttons on the cabinet?

I had misinterpreted a forum setting which allowed users to remove their topics - even after other people had replied. This is obviously not a good idea (misuse).

I have changed this now, and have restored some topics where replies were made and the issues resolved so they can be of benefit to new users.
