Rain, rain, go away little Linda wants to play!  It has been so nasty outside, one doesn't dare go out unless absolutely necessary.  More to come today.........booooooooo!

Think I will make some fudge for Jim and cook some soup of some kind.  It is that kind of weather for sure.

We will watch Aryn's game at 3 and probably do some napping here and there.

Whatever your day brings, enjoy.
I wish I had something new and exciting to post, but I just don't.  I picked up kiddos from school yesterday and will pick up groceries today.  That's it!

We have the best caregiver.  She has taken care of Jim and has taken care of the house better than I ever have.  Today she plans on cleaning the china cabinet....something I haven't done in years.  She asked yesterday if she could do that for me.  Our house is in perfect condition for the holidays thanks to her.

This weekend is our church cantata on both Saturday and Sunday evenings.  We will attend on Sunday.

Aryn has a ballgame tomorrow afternoon and we will watch on the computer.  They are doing well so far and this game starts conference play.  Go Chargers!

Enjoy your Friday and weekend to come.
Thankful Thursday!

1)  So thankful for the epidural in my back and the relief it brings.

2)  Thankful for a good nights sleep.

3)  Thankful for friends who truly care.

4)  Thankful for a good hot cup of coffee to start each day.  I highly recommend Gevalia brand if you haven't tried it.....

5.  Thankful for online ordering and not having to fight the crowds for Christmas gifts.

Thankful for you my blog friends.
When it rains, it pours...........have you ever heard that expression?  Well, we had a downpour here yesterday.

First I was sitting in front of the Dollar General, ready to head to the gas station to fill up the car, then pick up Rumor from school, when the car wouldn't start!  Of all times, I had left my cell phone at home and there I sat.  God sent a friend to have jumper cables in his truck.........he 'jumped' my car off and I headed to get Rumor.  The friend told me that he was sure my battery was the original one and very very old.  After I got her, we went straight home.  I turned off the engine and re-tried and it was dead again.

I called my son and he was to get off work at 4 and go buy a new battery and replace.  Once he did it started without a hitch!

Secondly, we were watching the news on TV last night and the TV died.  We tried everything we knew to do and sure enough, it had had it and it is only 2 years old.

But, with all the above said, God sent someone to help me get home safely, and we have another TV that we can put in the living room, so God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.

He is also going to be with me this morning as I have the epidural and that will make me feel better, have less back pain and will be able to enjoy the holidays.

Hope you have a 'Christmasy' day!
Good Tuesday morning, and it is a good morning!  2 hour school delay and occassional black ice on the roads, but after all that, the temperature is to climb to near 50 and we are promised sunshine.  Yay!  We have had too many rainy days of late and that certainly makes one dreary.

Aryn's team won 75-53 and she scored 17 points and missed 2 points making a double-double.  (meaning she had 17 points and 8 rebounds, and if it had been 10, that would make it a d-d)  The team is doing a good job so far this season.

I will be doing school pick up duty today.  Will also be preparing for my epidural tomorrow, and by that I mean doing any housework today as I won't be doing much tomorrow but sleeping!

Praying your weather is pleasant and you will have a good day.
We had the children's Christmas program at church yesterday morning and it was so cute.  It was presented as a news program of the birth of the Christ Child.  Jesse and Rumor were both in the play and did a good job.

We also had a business meeting after the service last night and voted to support 4 additional missionaries, which brings us to a total of 108 that we support around the world.  We also voted to replace the ceiling tiles in the classrooms that got hit with rain when the roof was leaking.  It had previously been replaced so now to repair the inside.  Also the kitchen will have a total make-over but that will be thanks to a donor.

Tonight Aryn has a basketball game in Mobile, Alabama and we will get to watch her play on the computer.  Other than that, we will have another 'inside' rainy day.

Go with God!
