YouTube Red Original Promoted Via Google Assistant Streaming
Google advertises latest YouTube Original by making first episode free via Assistant.

Impulse is a YouTube Red series that recently debuted. The show is based on the novel with the same name, and follows 16-year-old character Henrietta, also known as Henry. Impulse is a series from Bourne Identity director Doug Liman about a young girl who can teleport herself out of trouble, at the cost of breaking everything (and everyone) in the vicinity.

Google is making the first episode available to anyone who uses Google Assistant to launch it. To do that, users must tell the Assistant to “Talk to Impulse.” Once that command is received, Google Assistant will rattle off a quick intro to the show and ask the user for the secret password.

The user then gives the password, which is “Henry” or other variations of the main character’s name (“Henry Coles,” etc). If you don’t give it the password, Assistant will send you off to research the show and figure out the name yourself. The series will be a YouTube Red Original and require a subscription going forward to access the remainder of the series.

It’s an interesting way to not only promote the upcoming show, but also a way to promote Google Assistant and its feature that lets you talk to it to stream content just by speaking to it.

All your reservations and purchases in one place, under Google Assistant

“Reservations” lets you “Check your upcoming and past reservations for flight, hotels, and events.”

This chronological list appears to be derived from Gmail and in the case of flights includes the airline, flight number, destination, and dates. Users can tap to get more details, like how it was generated, and open the email it originates from. Gmail already parses through your incoming email to find reservations for flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. It then adds them to your calendar, the Google Trips app, and notifies you about them through the Google app. Now it seems that these reservations are, rightfully, showing in Assistant's settings.

"Purchases" shows you purchases recognized by Google from your Gmail account.

These both are also accessible from web here:
Reservations - https://myaccount.google.com/reservations

Purchases - https://myaccount.google.com/purchases

With more and more things showing up in settings, Google Assistant is consolidating all the information that's relevant to you.

Google will help you keep track of all the 2018 FIFA World Cup action

To help you kick off your FIFA World Cup™ watch-a-thon, Google has some tricks up its sleeve to assist fans around the globe, to keep track of what’s happening on and off the pitch.

If you want to find out who won the match between Germany and Mexico, which players have scored the most goals in this year’s quest for the Golden Boot, or how many FIFA World Cups Brazil has won, just say “Hey Google” and ask away!

You’ll also get fun BTW (by the way) stats for some of your questions, so keep your ears open.

Other Google products will also be on hand to improve the experience, including Search, Google Doodles, News, Trends, Youtube, and Maps. Now let’s start the countdown to kick-off!
