Brian M: +Dennis Dowd Yes, it will be good to see better battery life. Fitness bands are fantastic. My Gear S3 Frontier is getting about 2.5 days on my settings though my wife is getting 4-5 days from her new Gear Sport watch which is pretty good, though of course she can't take calls on it which makes a big difference as maybe 2 or 3 times a day I take calls if my phone isn't at hand. But it would be great to see the day where we could get a few months from one charge!

Brands were slow to adopt smart watches. AW watches are mostly only available online and the marketing for them is pretty much non-existent. The smart watches you only ever see in stores and marketed art Samsung ones and apple ones

It would be funny if you called a Gear watch a spy watch with Huawei watch being one of the biggest selling AW watches! Lol. But I'll let that go as a stupid comment from someone who's butthurt and hates Samsung. Android is a lot better for phones than Tizen. But.....Android Wear is not as good as Tizen for watches. Samsung hit the spot perfectly with both functionality and ease of use, plus it actually benefited from not having an absolute barrel full of totally useless apps available as on Android Wear, though I admit that due to its popularity a lot of the same stupid stuff is now available on Samsung watches too. However very few people download the stupid stuff on either platform anyway. Another good indicator, many non Samsung Android phone owners also are using Samsung smartwatches, and despite the lack of full functionality even a considerable number of iPhone owners are using Gear S3 and Gear Sport. On the Watchmaker app community there's a whole section devoted to Gear watches for iOS users. So it's not got much to do with Samsung, it's to do with Tizen being a better OS. I've had AW watches, actually one of those Huawei "spy watches". A great watch, probably the best AW watch in my opinion but the OS doesn't match Tizen. That's why it's on top.

Casey Cunningham: All I ever use s voice for is to send a text . Works very good as long as I have a good data/wifi connection on the phone. Works as good for that as my Android watches.

Andreas Väth: No they shouldn't switch. They should continue to develop Tizen and bring it forward. It is the same situation as with Microsoft on the PC - everyone knows about the lacks, but everyone still want to use it, while there are better OS - only because they fear that a specific software/app is not available. I used Wear OS watches for almost 5 years now and now switched to the Gear S3 knowing that I will have some apps missing. But then, I checked - what did I really need and ehat did I actually use on Wear OS - and I found, that I do not miss a single functionality really. But having 2+ days of working battery even when heavy usage (during workouts, the Wear OS Huawei 1 was going from 100% to 30% in 90 minutes, whereas the Gear S3 just takes less than 10% battery for the same....) - combined with the awesome rotating bezel funcionality and the widgets, that finally allowed me to free my Watchface from all stuff, that just consumed power over the day...
So Samsung should rather invest in proper development of apps and a better support of developers. And provide a returnage policy in the app store like google does, to avoid frustration on paid apps that won't do the job...
