Who says you need a modern new-fangled camera with all the apps and gadgets to do superb photography & videography? Certainly not me!
This video by Brad Kremer of Michael Levin going about his photography business is now 7 years old and taken with the Canon 5DMKII, 7 years old!!
Still one of my inspirational favourites after all this time.
Have a great weekend all :)
(Watch with speakers or headphones and click the Vimeo cog and switch to HD 720p)

I have left the tripod in the shot for a personal touch to prove I was there :)
If you know of a helpful and inspiration photography related YouTube video, please submit it here to help others http://www.t-hill.com/submit/

What have I been up to??
Well, taking this image yesterday for a start... It's not the best but shows the world where we are seasons wise here in Yorkshire (UK) ...
I was not going to say this on here because you all must be so fed up with my second website t-hill.com changing!! My main website is not going to change any time soon but http://t-hill.com has changed more than it should of late, to say the least. The website was getting overwritten, cluttered and slow so with a heavy heart I deleted all on both the web space and database, a bold move and not one I would do without giving it a lot of thought!! Then came the rebuild, this one is fast and here to stay I promise!! http://t-hill.com > Feel free to submit photography videos, thank you...
It has taken me weeks to decide the new camera system I am trying to afford will be the Fujifilm X-T3 with the Japanese built and nice 18-55mm kit lens, for many reasons... My Nikon gear is going nowhere for the time being and will be used to complement the X-T3
Still awake? Enjoy Sunday evening...

Innocence
It's not very often I take pictures of my 8-year-old son Thomas, I know, I really should more often. When I do, I like to capture a moment, an image can distort the mind and emotions. Believe me, Thomas had a great time today and was laughing and playing all the time we were out this morning.
If anyone is reading this far and interested, I am avidly saving for aNikon Fujifilm X‑T3 to complement but not replace my much loved Nikon D7100.
Enjoy the weekend all...

Times gone by...
The hotel in the middle is a grade 2 listed building and used to be one of the best hotels in Scarborough, hence the name 'The Grand', these days this is not the case, it is still grade 2 listed for sure but grand inside it is not, such a shame. Guests want and demand much more in 2018. From the outside, the building still looks very nice and dominates the Scarbrough south bay skyline, as seen.
You all know me by now, I say things as they are... The Victorian steel bridge to the left of the shot is locally known as the 'suicide bridge'. The bridge now has very high roll top fences either side and CCTV, before that many have ended up on the road below and a few still do, God bless them each and every person...

Long standing Nikon shooters, I need your help
I have put this post off for a while because I was afraid it would turn into a DX (crop sensor) vs FX (full frame sensor) argument. I will not let this happen on this post... That said:-
Up to today, I have shot all my images on the crop sensor DX, Nikon D7100 including the one below.
Like many, I have limited funds but after a couple of paid jobs of late, I am almost in a position to buy a newer camera body. I know glass is everything but a camera body is my next purchase.
I need an all-around camera body. I predominantly shoot landscapes/seascapes but more and more of late I shoot outdoor events for a local charity organisation.
I would so much like and would use a tilting screen, for no other reason than I would make good use of one while on the beach or in the Yorkshire Dales.
Smaller file sizes (14 bit raw) sounds good to me but the cropability of the large D810 files sounds good also...
I could go on and on, please ask me questions to help me come to a conclusion!
I am almost there funds wise thanks to a photography job for Grand Central Railways.
I'm torn, but the D750 is a no-no for me... It was great in its day...

I really enjoyed doing this manipulation in Photoshop, it taxed my brain and took hours!
Have a wonderful weekend all ;)
