How powerful does a laptop need to be to edit audio? My laptop is going to repairs for a few weeks and I'm thinking of buying a cheap (under $200) laptop to cover my basic needs like surfing and streaming in the meantime. While I obviously won't be able to edit video or even photos heavily, will I be able to edit a full-fledged podcast?

Hey! :) I'm using Pinnacle 18 on Windows and want to make text follow a moving object. I know that you can manually achieve this by setting waypoints, but if the object moves in a non-linear way and at various speeds this becomes very tedious. Is there an automated feature for this like I know some other programs have?

Alright, I'm looking for brutally honest feedback as well as general encouragements to continue :)

I've already recorded my first three episodes but not yet edited the latest two. I want more feedback before I do and before I start recording more episodes. Curious about what you guys think! Thanks in advance for your time! :D

Any quick tips to speed up editing, or how to not have to edit so much to begin with? :) I recorded my very first podcast today and did a lot of retakes. I edited heavily and was even picky about small stutters and mispronounced words (when I mispronounced something, I simply said the word again and cut out the first word later). Editing took ages!

I'm used to editing videos and use Pinnacle 18. I recorded in Audacity but used Pinnacle to edit as I'm comfortable in it and know how to use it :) But if I'm going to do an episode a week I need to make some changes to my recording and editing process!
