The easiest way to get something to go viral is to share something many people are waiting on. Think about the wedding dance video. Everyone at the wedding couldn't wait to see it and share it. They probably told everyone they knew, and those people couldn't wait to see and share it, too. That is what makes something naturally viral. We need to emulate that. One way we do that is to get support in advance. Line up reviewers, influencers to share it, use platforms like ThunderClap and GuestCrew, etc. I wrote about this more comprehensively in growmap.com - Viral Marketing: Using Viral Social Media to Create Viral Content ~ Drive Actions, Conversions, CrowdFunding and http://growmap.com/youtube-viral-marketing/
We all want our content to go viral, but how do you do it? Here is some great insight on the psychology of viral content and what drives social sharing. Any other tips?
