This is not a stand-alone application. Do not install it, if you are not a user of our @Voice Aloud Reader app, as otherwise it will not do anything useful for you.
This plugin is necessary to use "Google Drive sync" function on the Reading List menu of the main @Voice Aloud Reader app version 9.8.0 or higher. It has the necessary permissions and code to let you login with Google and download the files from your Google Drive storage.
Why a separate plugin? Mostly because of user paranoia - syncing with Google Drive requires user identity through contacts access right for an app. Otherwise its impossible to login to Google Drive. However, many users complained when I added the identity/contacts permission to the main @Voice app, thinking I would by "spying on them". Therefore the main app does not need this permission any more.

Good App. Big Miss though when Syncing with Google Drive... Management of added articles lists is HORRIBLE, Does not make sense, Management of read articles requires moving in between multiple non intuitive sections. It's getting to the point I am not using the app as much. Article Management Interface should be THE CORE Feature (after reading outloud)... needs to be completely reworked from the ground up.

I wish I could share with the Google drive sync app so I can save webpages on my phone just like I do on my laptop with the chrome plugin so the docs I want to read are all synced across all my devices and synced with drive.

This plugin works great for me. I've been an avid user of @voice aloud reader for years. Being able to change reading speeds and voices and sync with google has been huge benefit for me - couldn't be happier.
The main app does not recognize that this plug in is installed. It doesn't do anything!
Not sure how to use. Tried exiting/re-entering @Voice, I do not see the Drive sync item in the menu. ?
How can I believe any review when a person doesn't even have to download the app? I didn't download anything, here is my review, do you believe it? Dr V2 is a joke
It may be a great app but I dont understand why they need access to my contacts to access my Drive files so I've uninstalled and will never know whether the app is decent or not

Identity and contact permissions are necessary to access Google Drive. This is the way Google designed their API, so address your complains to them, not me. Precisely because of these permissions being required, I made a separate plugin instead of integrating the sync functions into the main app. Hey devs, people land here because the link to the PDF plugin incorrectly points here. Please fix that bug in VoiceAloud.
I installed this plugin and yet the main app keeps taking me to this page every time. It isn't detecting the the plugin is installed.
Will Only sync files not within folders but present in an @Voice folder, cannot handle sub folders, or lists.
This plugin doesn't work for me. It gets to a 1/100 progress bar (is it trying to download my entire GDrive? Unclear, but if so that might be why it's failing. I have many gigs of data there and not all of it is readable text).

It is not downloading entire drive, only the files in @Voice app folder or in other folders on your device, that you opened and read within the last 30 days. If you have a failure, please tell me by email exactly what it is, what error messages you see etc., so that I could improve. Everyone needs answers to communicate correctly, install this app to Understand what you need TO HEAR, This Makes it easier, SO I give IT a 5*****, STAY Tuned. I have never used this once and I will get back when I DO.
