Was working great with cantonese words now it's impossible to find As reported by another reviewer, "Y" sounding cantonese words are now completely impossible to find on the new material design version. Words like 有,又,由,優 used to be found by typing in "YA--" but they return "A" sounding words 亞, 呀, etc. It's also impossible to use Cantonese pinyin mode to get words like 一,二,日,也. Almost as if the pinyin mode completely ignores the letter "Y". Tried to tinker around with the options, couldn't find a solution. Please fix.

need improve for Hongkonger please provide traditional Chinese to choose from when input is simplified Chinese. also please predict the next characters, not leave one character alone and stop.

BRING BACK THE ENGLISH TAB plz The Cantonese pinyin is no longer accurate. Its leaning towards mandarin pinyin. Fix it so its identical to the chrome extension. Secondly why removed the english tab when it is working perfectly. Google needs to realise hong kong ppl (majority of the target user group) type "chinglish" we often switch between english n chinese 3 4 times in a sentence.

It is bad experience to type/switch between English "EN" and Chinese with recent update on the phone with lollipop. The "EN" tab is missing on the phone (Nexus 4) but not happens on tablet (Nexus 7) with same update.

A change that brings inconvenience As a Hongkonger I change my input between Chinese and English frequently. However I regretfully update this app without reading the comments here. Now the English tab has gone. I feel so irritated whenever I have to long press the globe and wait for a second to change the input method (as I also installed other input method). Please consider including English tab again in your next update.

Was Perfect. Not after the update Now whenever I type some text language words like hv (have) it automatically capitalize it into HV when I press the space bar. Same problem with HW (homework), etc. Plz disable this disappointing function

Great but... Really good IME with material design. It will be great if you can "bring frequently used words to the front". And it is very inconvenient to switch to English after updated to Lollipop. To be honest, CedIME is still the best keyboard to use.

cannot integrate with other input methods I always use Korean, Chinese Traditional and Simpilified, and English. Wish Google keyboard can show all the input Lang short keys at the top row of keyboard. Language change key(earth icon) will bring system default keyboard and usually the system keyboard does not have language(input) change key, so I cannot go back to other input method otherwise I go to system menu then select keyboard menu.

could you give an option to allow us use English Prediction without automatically replace my text input with the first predicted item? i.e. English prediction applies only with my explicit tap on a word. maybe make it open source to let us fix those problems. thx

Not working properly after new update The keyboard was working fine before the update and I was able to get all the words I need. But after the update, similar situation to a previous user, some phonetics doesn't work anymore. I found the update has made the c, ch, j and y a silent phonetic. Please fix it as it's taking me twice as long to type in Chinese to speak to my family.

lousy update I use English often so now it's become so annoying when I type words like PPL, LOL, PC cause it forces capital letters to appear only?! And I already turned off the auto correction function. Plus, the prediction's really off right now. Like if I type Jello instead of Hello, there's no results for Hello when H is just beside J on the keyboard, which is highly likely we would miss. I want back the previous version!!!

This used to be good... but not anymore Switching from. Not convenience switching between Chinese and English. Poor recognition when type in拼音and return a lot of junk words. Bye bye google keyboard.

Sutible for ppl that hate hand writing This make typing chinese every faster than before! Before you need to hand write, now u jist have to type. Thanks for supporting Cantonese, Google! :)

From best to worse It was working so well, especially with the predictive texts on oral Cantonese words... now it only shows a jumbo of less frequently related words. The predictive lexicon needs to be updated to "most frequently used words". CHANGE IT PLEASE!

I'm loving the new material themes but I noticed that they lag A LOT when I type with that theme, compared to when I type with the holo theme, which is strange. The English keyboard lags a considerable amount more than the Chinese keyboard (which is also lagging). And by lag, I mean the amount of time between key press and letter showing up. I have already messed around with my input settings and it's still pretty annoying this lag... /: so minus one star

Pain to switch between English and Chinese This new version takes one more keypress to switch between English and Handwriting mode. Please add back the English icon at the top of the keyboard

Nice and useful keyboard! But hope that can add the gesture typing, and English keyboard needa add the related words after I type a word! And the stroke is not accurate in Stroke keyboard...

please roll back to the previous version!!!! stupid update now has this. permanent auto-captial on short form like "Gor", "PPL'' "La" and alot more... absolutely stupid. Also, when miss type a word and go back to correct it, the auto-captial just screw up the whole word... like "form" will turn to "foRM". Some Chinese word was displayed but then changed to another word. The auto-correct, which cannot be turn off, is absolutely stupid. STUPID UPDATE!!!!!

The EN tab is missing I was using OnePlus One before, and switch to OnePlus Two recently. I find that the EN tab is switch between Chinese and English is missing. Please bring it back!!! It was my favorite input keyboard app. But it's not convenient without the tab now.

Cantonese input not working Keyboard input was working great w Cantonese Yale spelling input method in earlier KitKat version, now it feels like broken displaying simplified characters and pinyin pronunciations... Please give Cantonese spelling options: Yale, jyutping, Sydney lau... Thanks.

Where is the English input? Most HK people mix Chinese and English together in a sentence. The old version was superb in a way that it can swap between Chi and English without any hassle. The new version, however, removed the EN tab and makes it a pain the axx every time I WhatsApp. Please bring back the tab.

It's ok It's only a standard keyboard with 2 reasons below. The only reason I downloaded it is because of its material design. First, gesture typing is NOT SUPPORTED in this keyboard, so do not expect it... Second, the keyboard does not learn my typing style or even recognise and auto-correct my typos (especially when the key are small). Thus, I don't recommend this keyboard for those who are looking for efficiency. But for those who are aspiring a material keyboard, this is the right one!

Improvements Needed! For the English keyboard, it frequent misinput numbers in my typing such as "s8gn" or "p9t". This is really annoying, and no I did not long press the button. For Chinese handwriting, pls do not let the word prediction to overlap the switch EN button. Hongkonger uses to switch Chinese and English interchangeably.

Well, it doesn't support mixed Chinese and English anymore This app instantly became useless after removing English input support.

New update changes the return key to emoji Again, they removed the tab to change english to chinese on top of the keyboard. Stop forcing us to use the globe when the tab was convenience to everyone.

Cannot change to Changjie with Hardware Keyboard It would be great, and actually it should allow, users to use Changjie keyboard instead of just Cantonese Pinyin while matched with a physical Bluetooth keyboard.

Auto capitalisation This version auto capitalises many words e.g. dd hv, ps etc. Unnecessary value add! Stupid feature. Pls undo this feature. Or HV an option to disable it.

Cursor keys wanted!! really need to add left right arrow keys for moving the cursor. I saw this on Google Japanese Input and I love it.

Best Cantonese next-word suggestion I have seen so far. However, it doesn't have English next-word suggestions, which I miss from TouchPalX.

No T9 input Good to add stroke input. But still no T9 input method. Please add 9 key keyboard! Some cantonese words like 㗎and  can't be type on stroke keyboard... please fix. Also, Why are the arrangement for the words had changed?!

Updated theme; still need way to input tone numbers Finally, with the December 4, 2014 update, this keyboard's theme has been brought in line with the default English one. Now you can cycle through the different language keyboards simply by pressing the globe icon (left of the space bar). Like the pinyin keyboard, however, there's no easy way to input tone numbers to narrow down the candidate list. This is especially important when trying to input individual characters, when the IME has no way of inferring from the context what I'm trying to type.

English prediction is off, always not thr words I expect, so I have to turn off auto correction. And extremely hard to go back to correct typo, it doesn't recognize the whole typo words. please fix. and please add swipe input

Overall, pretty good.. So one of the key features is it's ability to output as both traditional and simplified Chinese. I couldn't get it to work. In handwriting mode, I write a simplified character and expecting the traditional equivalent character should be available for me to choose.. but the traditional Chinese character is not displayed.

Please rearrange the fullstop with numbers in Chinese mode It is very hard for me to enter decimal numbers in Chinese input mode due to the fullstop key is set far away with numbers, please revise.
