Not all that flashy but does a job. I gesture, it searches my phone. I wouldn't mind an app that allows me to type with gestures, like Palm's Graffiti which is , unfortunately, dead. This draw-to-input idea could be integrated into Google now, just to show off.

Works but doesn't shine. This works and gets they job done but need some more intelligence, also for the widget and auto refresh as needed. Shouldn't be hard for Google to fix. If they want to that is 😀

Refresh index not working Hi I am using redmi 1s phone running 4.3 version but I cannot see refresh index or other setting option only help icon there . kindly resolve

User friendly interface for quick access What's with the orange-yellow icon ? The designer needs to be counseled. Reminds me of nachos with cheese sauce. Nauseating! Have to wash my hands each time i use it 😝. Otherwise a must-have App! 👍

Nice concept but implemented in wrong way. Why i should open an app to search ? Give this draw & search facility on android home screen with option to activate deactivate the same in settings ie. the way the nokia z launcher does (for drawing on screen only) Need clutter free screen, dont show the most recent results permanently on screen. Nexus 5 with Android M dev. preview.

Not good..need to be worked on.. This is not working well it syncs only contacts..and does not recognise the gestures we write on screen.. It just senses the first letter for all things...so uninstalled..

Recent Update causes excessive Battery Drain? My battery is suddenly draining fast. Wakelock Detector is showing Gesture Search as THE major user by far. This has only started occurring in the last few days. Otherwise, this is a nifty app. I use it from the home screen to search for contacts.

Like it What a great little app. Simple and effective. If like me you have hundreds of apps and contacts, and hate wading through folders or app organisers, this is an elegant quick way to get it!

Great to access one app fast when you have not given it a front-row seat on your homescreen. Though it seems to me a very recent (june 15) update turned it into a battery drain (I do have the flip detection disabled)

Good app I love this app, it is great and easy to use. It is helpful and help you find the number of person fast.

Awesome! Great app for easily finding contacts. I do wish that there was an option to reverse the result order though - ie. the closest search result on the bottom. This would make it easier to reach the one you want instead of having to reach all the way to top.

Works but - sinfully ugly icon! Holy cow that orange solid icon is ugly ugly ugly. Can I please have my elegant transparent icon back, Google?

Very nice, very fast AND silent - much better than Voice Search! :D Some weird people seem to prefer talking to their phone in public instead of using the touch keyboard. This creates awkward situations - especially in silent rooms. Voice Search is a horrible invention in my opinion, but it has the advantage of not needing to hit tiny keys on a small keyboard to enter text. Gesture Search combines this advantage with lovely silence. ;)

Needs material design I liked it a lot. It can recognize my terrible penmanship which is a plus. However, the one thing it's missing is Material Design. Add it and it will be perfect, in my opinion.

A must have app !! A must have app for all those who have tons of apps and finds it difficult to search the app quickly. Its hell easy with this beautiful software.

hi. i love this app and use it in constant basis i am a developer myself and i do have a few suggestions to make this app more user friendly suggestion 1. search results are matched sorted in top to bottom fashion currently and mostly first row of the result itself is the needed one. i would suggest you to sort it in reverse order so that the most matched result is shown at the bottom this will help in one hand operation and user don't have to reach top of the screen to click on the result since normally our thumb is in the bottom portion and to reach the top result we can simply slide down the result with our thumb. suggestion 2. currently the call button is on the left side which again has the thumb reaching issue for right handers in big screen phone's as mine instead give an option to switch between right hand use and left hand use from the settings so for right handers it can be placed on the right and vice versa for the left. suggestion 3. showing image of the contact within each row will make the dumb look more of an eye-candy plus its easier to recognise an image of person i have few more suggestions but space to put review is less.. may be next time... :)

Waste batteries It's a nice app but it keeps refreshing too frequently and kills my battery fast

Nice idea, not quite working Used to like this app. On Xperia Z3 it can't search music, and motion launch doesn't work well. Worked better on the S3, and when it could be launched from the notification bar.

Great, but rough around the edges The app works great and always indexes exactly what I want, but it really doesn't look like a Google product. It looks dated, like it hasn't been updated since jellybean. It's minor, but it would be nice to see some upgraded, more Google-esque, visuals.

BaazaRoy. I'm a bit unsure about this app, because it only just works, it's not that convincing. Some of the reviews give it 5 stars, mainly written by Americans, judging by their language. Surprise surprise the Americans would rave about Google. That's what Americans do, rave about their own stuff, but I'm not convinced about this app, or Google or Android. Update it doesn't give me a chance to refine my search, I'm afraid it's UNINSTALLED.

Battery drain Uses a high battery percentsge just being installed on the phone. Not even using it and the gesture activation is disabled.

Mi4i bug I worked well on my previous phone but in Mi4i it runs smoothly once or twice then it would say contact not found can anybody help

Ok, does a decent job - but the depth of search is too shallow. For example when searching Contacts: Gesture Search misses search hits that the Contacts app can find. (It seems Gesture Search searches only a few of fields and not all the fields.) Same for Music search. Needs an update, deeper search, reindexing options, optimize index options etc. Thanks to the developers for a decent piece of software, ok and usable but can be a LOT better.

Was once my favorite app, now causes overheating of device! Use CAUTION! ! After 6mo of consistent over heating and battery drain with no improvements or updates...I have to UNINSTALL!

Need much improvement in widget I think that full screen widget should be made instead of predicting the items... So user can directly search by using gesture without launching the app... Also there should be option for the user if he wants to pre define a gesture...

Update to Material Design This app is so useful but the UI hasn't been updated minus the app icon since ICS lol

Finally an update! It's an amazing app but please also update to include a list of recent searches instead of just the one most recent.

What happen to Thai language This version is not working correctly with Thai language. When I draw a gesture, it always search only Thai vowel not consonant(consonant is more important) while the previous version is working correctly. Please fix this. Thank you.

ATTENTION PLS!!!! Some features must be added to this app like : search by typing, search all storage file or folder also, resizeable window etc... this make this app all in one, and replace other app like "quick search" etc.. thanks

I freakin' love this! This has replaced my app drawer on my Note 5. I tap the icon, draw a letter, and there's what I'm looking for. No more swiping page after page through my app drawer try to find the app I want. I don't include my contacts in the index (too much clutter). The only suggestion I have for Google is to index apps, settings, and contacts separately then let me pick which one I want to search.

Great app I like early version of this app bcz it didn't use RAM.But now after this update it using RAM memory.I don't wanna update this app I like to use early version.

Good app.. Helps in finding apps easily n saves time.. It will be better if you develop a widget ready to use all the time.. So that the app need not be opened every time..

Great App, EXCEPT it does not search Organization Name (within MyContacts). So if you search Comcast, for example, it will not find it. This really screws me up!

Should be a default app Does exactly what it says, and keeps my launcher screens cleaned for my most used apps. If and when I need an app, no need for digging around, just gesture it up.. Would give 5 stars, but there's no cheat sheet for certain letters that I am aware of, but most letters are typically what one would expect, with the exception of a few, that I still haven't figured out, like I, x, Q, and a few others, I might be a bit slow, or did I overlook the obvious, so, should a cheat sheet even be needed?

Great app It's begging for more functionality. You could create a quick note or launch an app etc. You do need a modern smartphone so an entry level device might cause some lag

Much better at finding contacts then the Contacts application I am always hunting for the best utility applications and this one is very simple and very effective - - quite elegant.

If it will search the contents in the phone memory n SD card, ie PDFs word files videos etc it will be nice to use
