I was looking for high resolution augmented viewer for our galaxy I was plesantly suprised not only is this containing the superb high quality image of the milky way from earths perspective many other celestial bodies are viewable upon opening the application, there are many buyable additions which the app can notify users of events of interest to come, even a picture was added to my album dated 1970's I'm not sure if this was an actual satalite image on this date. but I was plesantly suprised.

Very cool The angle of the 3d earth model is wrong, but everything else is perfect. When i go into 3d viewer mode at the current date, abd point my phone at the floor, it thinks i am in the arctic, instead of England. It also uses a lot of battery power. Other than that, it is awesome. Oh and I found a satellite called "battle school" that crashes the app when I try to view it...

Compass on its own? Have several star map apps on my LG G4 with none of them I have a problem. But installed this one several times but never gets the compass right. After installing I looked for Polaris that should be more or less north of us on the northern hemisphere but according to the app it is somewhere east of me. Guess just uninstall and look further

Overwhelming to notice planets I'm using the app on a Samsung TrendPlus phone with 716 mb memory. Given the right location, this app displays the celestial objects at a determined date and time with an impressive level of precision. More astonishing is the AR mode which accurately shows the sky projection at a certain orientation of your phone. Check with known objects (eg. The moon), if inaccurate, just calibrate your gyro sensors by rotating phone several times in each axis, one axis after the other. You'll be amazed by the accuracy.

Not working on Nexus 6P or 5X Jitters and jumps in AR mode. Calibration doesn't work. Found this isn't a hardware issue as some other apps like this one work fine. The new sensors are highly sensitive in these new phones like the nexus 6p apparently, and some apps are not set up correctly for them. Please fix. It's just not useable like this!!

This app is well optimized, highly polished and generally very user-friendly. The only thing restricting it from receiving a stellar review is its lack of an intuitive user-interface in some instances. The pop-up menus do not take full advantage of screen space, making some font difficult to read, and certain pop-up icons lack explanations (Ex. Micro-transaction Icons).

The best app with azimute and altitude to find stars and nebulose in the sky with a child´s telescope. just two updates needed: automatic GPS location rather then manual and day light saving´s option... the last one took me hours to find out why the coordinates did not macht with the sky above and why the error was not constant. still have to adjust the mobile phone time manually to get good results!

Good app, no way to disable notifications As the title states, this is a good app for viewing stars and celestial bodies across the sky. The app does not have a way to disable notifications, and their help website directs you to hide notifications in the OS. Unacceptable as this still lets the app process/send them in background, but they stay hidden. Four stars if you fix this. Uninstalled.

App is not working properly. Samsung Galaxy S5 5.0 Android - - App is not locating the celestial bodies properly. I do not have a PhD in astrophysics, however, when your app is telling me that the moon is behind me, as I am staring at it, something is off. I have set the location by GPS, and City. Not sure when this problem started, as it seemed to be working as intended some months back.

Avoid this app 'Upgraded' with an in app purchase only to discover that I was paying for only one feature not a full upgrade. Asked for a refund via the developers as per play store T&C for in app purchased but am still waiting for them to reply. Don't download and especially don't purchase upgrade, you'll be just be left disappointed.

Please fix, i love this app Scrolling with my finger works fine, it's when i attempt to just point my phone around it has a lot of issues. Please fix, i have a galaxy s6 edge plus so idk if its the updated android system thats the problem. My dad has an iphone 6 and his star chart works perfectly, please help.

Best free sky viewer. I'd say this is the best sky viewer app you can get for free on your mobile devices. Just this April I went to the US space and rocket center in Huntsville Alabama, and they used it there. Great app doesn't need any premium content to work well. 10/10.

The sun is up? People seem to love this app so this might not be a universal problem, but for mu last two phones, it thinks im in the southern hemisphere, i suppose. I have gps on, and i cant see a way to change setting on the app, so its virtually unusable. A couple years (phones) ago, it registered my location properly and was a 5 star app.

Too many bugs now I cannot get the location to update without freezing the app. The moment I go into location settings and come back to the main screen, the whole app stops responding to touch inputs. Only option left is to force close the app, and open it again when it starts working just fine. Also, it does not start when network connection is weak.

It has been better The Sun and Moon somehow glitches out of place and its very irritating. When I first started using this app it wasn't doing that until at least a month ago. Update I open it just a couple minutes ago and it wasn't doing it anymore

Not great Settings are difficult to navigate. Can't find where to switch notifications off. Can't find how to orientate it to show my view of the sky after navigating elsewhere. I know some star names by a different name which the app's database doesn't contain (e.g. Alpha Centauri). Looks pretty but isn't amateur-astronomer user friendly.

Fantastic - almost perfect Simply the best free app out there for sky-gazers. No ads. Free version pretty comprehensive. Translucent drawings superimposed to show the shapes the ancients saw. Augmented reality mode is a great way to identify the object you're looking at. The only drawback I found is somewhat esoteric - it doesn't model Earth's precession, which means (among other things) that the pole star appears to remain static even over periods of 1000's of years - which is not correct. If they do this, then 5*.

Really great! I really like the graphics, the correct placement of the stars, planets, and planetary systems. I am busy taking astronomy and this helps me find stars when I like to use my telescope. Sadly my Samsung core prime doesn't have to full features of the gyroscope. Great app none the less! :-)

Great app I have been looking for an app like this for quite a while. I think it's great and the quality of the image is brilliant. The only problem for me is the sensitivity of the motion sensor when zooming in. My phone has to be completely still for me to see what is going on. But otherwise good job.

Worked ok at first But after a few weeks, I'd try to use it and it was completely turned around. I'd point it at the sunset/rise and it would say the sun was behind me. Like, I'm staring at the sun, i promise it's not behind me. Tried resetting gps coordinates manually and with location and neither worked, nor did the uninstall/reinstall process. Probably uninstalling permanently. Please fix it, though, because it was beautiful while it lasted.

Juggling Hi, I just bought the new Nexus 6p phone and installed this app and when it opens after I did the GPS location the map keeps jiggling around and isn't stable. I had this app on my Nexus 4 and it ran great. I'm wondering if it could be the marshmallow OS might be causing issues. Love this app and use it all the time when going out astronomy nights.

Used to be good... But the AR mode is useless now. Never stable and points in the wrong direction even after calibration. Plus this paid app has fallen victim to usual greed and now has more and more in-app purchases. This version should be free.

Doesn't work Tried something simple. Updated GPS and it said the moon was in front of me when in reality it's behind me. No wonder I can't see anything. This doesn't work and the meteor module is a joke. Samsung S5. I have never used AR and don't do pokeymon. There is no help for a novice user. Time displayed in the app is 1 hour behind current time.

Awesome My sons and I dig finding planets and stars names with this app. Only problem is the notification tone is too similar to my banking app. It makes me freak when I hear it, makes me think a transaction has occurred. Can you make it so as I can choose a notification sound?

Good app, quick and lightweight, does what it promises. Well built interface, it is a pleasure to navigate the fluid interface. It shows the milky way. Only problem: setting time of day is a nice feature, but the controls are a little clumsy and stay on screen even if you want to navigate the sky map. It would also be nice to have info about the time of rise/set of the objects over the horizon. Anyhow many thanks

Its okay but wont follow the direction of my tablet I can see the stars but I don't know if its accurate bc whenever I move my tab the screen won't automatically move, so I have to move it ""manually"" by touching the screen. That's why I think it wouldn't be accurate :( please fix

Helpful app to find planets. what appear on the sky, the things show details on your phone, turn your phone to up,down,left and right or 360 degree you can find same appear as in the sky...( red star blinking in the south side, open star chat and take ur phone to south side and its shows the red star as Jupiter this is a eg for u folks).

My Dad Cried (Galaxy S5) So I downloaded this app and I showed it to my 9 year old sister and she thought it was okay, I showed it to my mom and she loved it. But when I showed it to my dad, he was so amazed he started to tear up. I know that this sounds fake but I'm not kidding. I would have never thought it would've gotten the reaction that it did. This app is extremely recommended.

Would be good, but ... app assumes I'm on the equator - polaris is always on the horizon. satGPS is on. Can't see any way to reset. UPDATE: Still can't get this app to find my location - why should it be so difficult? This problem doesn't occur with other sky chart apps - tried uninstalling/reinstalling. Will give up and uninstall now. Device: 2013 Nexus 7 with Android 6.0.1.

App is great, but huge bug in AR mode This app is fantastic, very complete and easy to use for amateur stargazers. When I change my phone to a Nexus 6P the AR mode wiggles violently, shaking the image to uselessness. Please fix this bug.

Useful even though phone isn't equipped w directional sensors Even though i can not use the point to identify feature with my crappy phone, unlike other similar apps that are crippled without, this one is still useful and entertaining. If i can simply orient myself, it's a wonderful sky map with tons of great info, as well as cool features like animated journeys from planet to planet to check out the view of earth from, say, Venus. Really cool, and I'm stingy with reviews. Impressed that it works so smoothly on my seriously junk alcatel.

Almost awesome Menus and keyboard are too bright. Kills your eyes at night time. Night mode should apply to those areas. And make the upper left menu icon red also. Otherwise, no good for night time use.

To confusion. Looks like a wonderful app. to find things in the night sky. But can't seem to get back to main map once I leave it. Also everything is now red and I didn't alter settings. And when you examine a celestial object - how do you get rid of that info box? I'll hang onto the app. for a few days and figure it out, who knows....

One issue on LG V20 Love the app and would give it 5 stars if not for one issue. When switching to night mode on LG V20 the star field turns red, but the Search, Share, and Calendar icons at the top remain a glaring white. Kills my night vision when looking at distant objects through my telescope.

Really good but I was wondering how to get this to work because when move my phone towards the sky the app doesnt seem to tilt or have any kind of movement. Only sometimes the app gets triggered and tilts but i dont know how.

Does not work on Xiaomi Mi3 AR mode does not work on the Mi3. I went through the FAQ and ensured that I have done everything to troubleshoot. Google sky works correctly, but I do not like the app so much. Fix please. Update:using new MIUI and updated Star Chart and now works like a charm!
