 On her new album Still + Bright, Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter Amythyst Kiah explores the vast expanse of her inner world: her deep-rooted affinity for Eastern philosophies and spiritual traditions, a near-mystical connection with the natural environment, the life lessons learned in her formative years as a self-described “anime-nerd mall goth,” and much more. Produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Green Day, Weezer) and recorded at his Nashville studio, Kiah’s second full-length for Rounder Records merges her revelatory storytelling with a darkly cinematic twist on the rootsy alt-rock of her 2021 breakthrough Wary + Strange—an LP that landed on Rolling Stone’s list of the 25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2021 and drew acclaim from major outlets like Pitchfork. With its sonic palette encompassing everything from fuzzed-out guitars and industrial-leaning beats to gilded pedal steel and Kiah’s exquisitely graceful banjo work, Still + Bright makes for a vital new addition to a body of work largely dedicated to exploring the struggle and joy of true self-discovery.
The latest turn in a dynamic career that’s included joining Our Native Daughters (an all-women-of-color supergroup also featuring Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Allison Russell), Still + Bright emerged from a deliberate transformation of the songwriting process Kiah adopted after composing her first song on a Fender acoustic at age 13. To that end, the album marks her first time opening up her approach and working with co-writers, including punk legend Tim Armstrong, Sadler Vaden (a guitarist/vocalist for Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit), and former Pentatonix member Avi Kaplan. Although her third LP is an undeniable departure from the anguished emotionality of its predecessor (an album informed by losing her mother to suicide at age 17), Kiah imparts each track with a hypnotic intensity born from boldly stating her convictions. Revealing her rare ability to spin her fascinations into songs uncovering essential truths about human nature, Still + Bright ultimately affirms her as an artist of both daring originality and uncompromising depth.

For more than a quarter century, Last Train Home has been one of the most fun, creative, and adventurous bands you'll ever hear, blending rock and country and bluegrass with swing and sambas, Tin Pan Alley and indie, lush pop and barrelhouse blues. Since its debut recording in 1997 right up through its 2022 release Everything Will Be, Last Train Home has followed a path unlike any other. With members in Nashville, Washington D.C., and Bucks County, PA, the band's live shows are more rare these days than they used to be, but the group continues to create music together. They worked through the pandemic on Everything Will Be, the stunning follow-up to 2020's stellar Daytime Highs and Overnight Lows release, each member in relative isolation sending their parts from their home studios for producer/mixer/wizard Jared Bartlett to wrangle into a cohesive whole. With the band's usual trademark horns, pedal steel, rich harmonies, and rhythmic invention, the record features seven originals by band leader Eric Brace, plus four deftly chosen covers.

His is a richly textured body of music, a testament to one man’s love for all things soul. His beginning was seasoned by early influences including Duran Duran, Inxs, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Babyface, Prince and Sade, he spent the summer after high school writing, producing and recording 40 incredible songs and began making his rounds to all major record labels.
Within a few months, he’d met Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and his wife, Tracy Edmonds, who were interested in signing Jon to their label imprint, Edmonds Record Group (formerly Yab Yum). The relationship between Jon and Edmonds Record Group immediately bore fruit. Albert Lee is a Grammy Award-winning British guitarist and multiple recipient of Guitar Player Magazine’s “Best Country Guitarist” who is celebrated by fans and musicians the world over for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique. Lee has worked both in the studio and on tour with many notable musicians from a wide range of genres including ERIC CLAPTON, the EVERLY BROTHERS, BILL WYMAN, EMMYLOU HARRIS, JOE COCKER, JACKSON BROWNE, ROSANNE CASH, and more. In 2002, he appeared on stage at the Concert for George, celebrating the life and music of Beatle George Harrison.
Albert is touring the USA, Canada and England in 2024 and 2025 celebrating the release of his new album, LAY IT DOWN. Recorded at the legendary Konk Studios in London in March 2024, LAY IT DOWN is a tribute to some of Albert's favorite artists and biggest inspirations.
From Mark Knopfler's blistering Setting Me Up to Jimmy Webb's soaring piano ballad Too Young To Die, to The Everly Brothers' storming hit The Price Of Love, Albert's latest album sees his triumphant return to the studio, recording live, as one of the greatest guitarists ever.
Lee started his music career at a very early age in England. With the likes of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and the Everly Brothers on the radio, Albert took to playing all over London in bars and church halls. In the mid to late 60s, a time of wah-wah pedals and distortion with Jimmy Hendrix and Eric Clapton fronting the music scene, Albert had his first taste of commercial success playing with Chris Farlowe and The Thunderbirds. Albert soon found his favored guitar of choice, the Fender Telecaster, (while everyone else was playing Gibson Les Paul and Fender Stratocaster), and along with this he discovered his love for country music.
Traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and the U.K., Albert worked with the likes of “A Poet and a One Man Band” with future Fairport Convention guitarist Jerry Donahue before joining 'The Crickets,' with whom he recorded and toured. 'Poet And The One Man Band' eventually evolved into 'Heads Hands &amp; Feet' with whom Albert enjoyed some commercial success, most notably in the U.K. Albert eventually got to meet and work with his idols, the Everly Brothers, playing with Don as lead guitarist and harmony singer in his touring band.
In the mid-70s, Albert joined Joe Cocker’s band, which led him to an opportunity to tour with Emmylou Harris &amp; The Hot Band. With the help of Emmylou's husband and producer, Brian Ahearn alongside The Hot Band, Albert recorded his first solo album, 'Hiding' (1979).
Then came touring and a series of collaborations with long-time friend Eric Clapton that spanned five years and included recording the albums “Another Ticket”, “Money and Cigarettes” and the double live set, “Just One Night,” recorded at Budokan in 1979.

 On September 23, 1983, the Everly Brothers played their reunion concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and Albert was on hand as the guitarist hand-picked and agreed to by both brothers. He continued that role, touring and recording with them for over 25 years.
Albert continued to play on the road, working with a variety of artists and bands including Rosanne Cash, and eventually English pedal steel guitarist Gerry Hogan, who invited Albert to front his band 'Hogan's Heroes.' This was the start of something both extremely different but hugely enjoyable for Albert, who at first was somewhat nervous about leading a band for the first time, but soon found his feet, and in turn, great success with the group.
Albert has been awarded two Grammys for “Best Country Instrumental Performance” in his illustrious career. In 2002, for “Foggy Mountain Breakdown,” from the album “Earl Scruggs &amp; Friends,” and again in 2009 for his work on Brad Paisley's track “Cluster Pluck.” He also received nominations for tracks on three of his solo albums. Lee has received many other awards as a guitarist, winning Guitar Player Magazine’s “Best Country Guitarist” five consecutive times.
Albert Lee is known within the music industry for his speed of playing and his technical virtuosity but is also one of the most melodic players. He’s often referred to as “the guitar player’s guitar player.” His song “Country Boy” helped to redefine country guitar for a whole generation of players and was later to become a #1 hit for multi-instrumentalist Ricky Skaggs. In the early 2000s, Albert toured regularly with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings. Sugar Hill Records released Albert’s solo efforts, “Heartbreak Hill” in 2003 and “Road Runner” in 2006. In 2011, a summer jaunt with guitarist John Jorgenson prompted Albert to form his own U.S. band for the very first time, and to this day, he maintains a robust solo career and continues to tour with his great band, selling out venues from coast to coast and overseas.

In 1819 John Adams came across a stunning story in his hometown newspaper that he described to his political frenemy Thomas Jefferson as “one of the greatest curiosities and one of the deepest mysteries that ever occurred to me . . . entitled the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.” The story claimed that a full fourteen months before Jefferson crafted his own Declaration of Independence, a band of zealous Scots-Irish patriots, whiskey-loving Princeton scholars, and a fanatical frontier preacher in a remote corner of North Carolina had become the first Americans to formally declare themselves “free and independent” from England. The Mecklenburg Declaration was signed on May 20, 1775—a date that’s still featured on the state flag of North Carolina. A year later, in 1776, Jefferson is believed to have plagiarized the MecDec while composing his own, slightly more famous Declaration and then, as he was wont to do, covered the whole thing up. Which is exactly why Adams always insisted the MecDec needed to be “thoroughly investigated.” Now, with Who’s Your Founding Father?, David Fleming picks up where Adams left off, leaving no archive, no cemetery, no bizarre clue or wild character unexplored while traveling the globe to bring to life one of the most fantastic, important—and controversial—stories in American history.

Kindred The Family Soul is simply Aja Graydon and Fatin Dantzler; artists, songwriters, lovers, and family. Both got their start as teenagers. Fatin produced his first released material with Bell Biv Devoe at 17 and Aja received her first recording contract from Delicious Vinyl at 14, these two “grew up” in the record business. In 1997 they were introduced via hip hop band, The Roots, production camp. Fatin was a hired gun to write songs for Aja’s solo project at the time. By the fall of 1998, they became husband and wife and while assuming the roles of a new couple and new parents, Fatin took a job selling appliances and Aja became a homemaker caring for their firstborn, Aquil. After being unexpectedly let go from his job the couple contemplated the future.
They'd developed a strong creative chemistry for Aja’s solo project, so they decided to try performing as a team and Kindred The Family Soul was born. Performing weekly at the famed “Black Lily” showcase at a small club called The Five Spot, Kindred developed a reputation for electric live performances featuring a 10-piece band. Hustling parents of a toddler by day and ripping stages by night. This amazing event would, along with Kindred, foster careers from the likes of Jazmine Sullivan, Floetry, Jaguar Wright, Music Soul child, and a host of others. A regular patron/performer at the Lily was Jill Scott. She was close to releasing her classic first album and decided to introduce the president of her then label, Hidden Beach, to her friends Aja and Fatin. This introduction would change everything.
In 2003 Kindred The Family Soul released their debut album Surrender to Love. “ Far Away” and “Stars” both became the top ten urban adult contemporary hits and anthems for lovers everywhere. The album received a Soul Train Award and a BET Award nomination. The group began producing events and showcasing new talent as well. One such event was “The Upper Room” featuring a then-unknown, John Legend, and Jazmine Sullivan. All after welcoming their 2nd child Diya into the world.
Their second album, “In this Life Together” was released in 2005. The project's lead Single “Where Would I Be (The Question)” was a wonderful follow-up hitting the top 10 on urban AC radio and boasted crowd favorite, “Woman First”, an anthem addressing the sacrifices of women for their family and relationships.
The second album solidifies Kindred The Family Soul as a voice for families and couples. Presenting a needed image of “Black Love” in an industry that rarely highlights it. Just prior to its release they would welcome their 3rd child, Nina. The 3rd album, The Arrival, was released in 2008. Singles like “House of Love” and “Just the Way You Are” continued the tradition of celebrating love and fortitude. Kindred began producing its own music videos and both songs were known for their touching visual stories. Both were mainstays on VH1 Soul and Centric. The title, “The Arrival” was a nod to the birth of the couple's set of twin girls, Lanaa and Ain.
2009 was a year of great change. The first black president was in the midst of his first term. The country was in a financial slump and the group found itself without a label deal. Kindred The Family Soul began documenting their journey through this climate of change in a web series called “Six Is It!”, named jokingly about expecting their sixth and final child, a boy Deen.
In 2011 they released their first album with Purpose/Shinachie records, “Love Has No Recession”. An album about triumph over adversity and the enduring power of love. Critically acclaimed and compared in intent to the classic, “What's Going On?”. The album featured single “Magic” and “You Got Love” a surprising collaboration with Snoop Dogg offering a sixteen-bar verse about his love for his wife. The group also founded a media company, The Media Shack and produced and directed 5 music videos for the album. They also continued to produce the web series for 3 more seasons.
2013 Kindred digitally released a live album to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of their debut album Surrender To Love. It was a rare recording of the group live in London performing every song on the then, just released album.
The 5th album, simply called “A Couple Friends” was released in 2014. Kindred along with Shinachie records produced a short film directed by hometown friend Jamal Hill, to accompany this album. The film follows the story of couples connected to Kindred The Family Soul and how they move through their challenges with love and friendship as the anchor. The group also wrote their first children's book, “Mama said, “Clean Up!” based on a freestyle song performed by all their children and featured on the album.

For national Billboard charting artist Sharon Rae North, it’s all about the tone, phrasing, articulation and interpretation of a lyric. Her audiences and fans can tell. She is a masterful manipulator of her voice.
Sharon has had several singles, and one of her three EPs make the initial Grammy ballot, so it's no wonder she enthralls and captivates audiences globally with her vocal style and combination of seriousness and playfulness.
On the heels her last album, Silhouette, produced 2x Grammy nominated Chris “Big Dog” Davis and 2x Grammy winner Paul Brown she's embarked on a co-headliner collaboration with trumpeter Rob Zinn and released a holiday single in late 2024. 
Veteran vocalist, trumpeter and flugelhornist Rob brings a high level of energy to all his shows. He mixes in highly recognizable songs complimented by his own compositions. He loves to venture into the crowd to create moments for many of the fans at the show. He loves to connect with everyone and make it a memorable evening of fun!
He has released three albums; Anything Can Happen (2023), Walk The Walk (2018) and Yesterday Again (2016). Album #4 has already started with his first single, “Until I Met You”, was released worldwide in April 2024. His next single, “Weekend Games” featuring Michael Paulo, will be released in early 2025.
