This will be an online presentation by the Honorable Dennis J. Curran&nbsp;(former Justice, Massachusetts Superior Court)&nbsp;about the history and legal topics associated with the American Revolution. Denounced as an act of unprovoked violence and villainy, this event is one of the most familiar incidents in American history, yet one of the least understood. We will revisit this dramatic episode and the resulting trials, the competing narratives that molded public perceptions, and the unheralded courage of one lawyer and a future President - John Adams - tasked with the defense of the captain of British troops charged with murder. This year marks the start of the Boston 250 Project, a series that celebrates the American war for independence.
Justice Dennis J. Curran served as a Massachusetts trial judge for 15 years. He is a graduate of Boston Latin School, and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in an accelerated joint-degree four-year program from the University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from the University of Virginia. During his judgeship, he mentored over 100 judicial student interns, many of whom have since been admitted to, or graduated from, our country's top law schools. Justice Curran served as a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University, and teaches at Brown University's summer program.

Naturalist Bob Michelson follows Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection bobcat researchers, as they study the expanding bobcat population throughout the state and CT and throughout New England in the last several years.&nbsp; You may have seen them roaming around in your neighborhood..!&nbsp; Join us to learn much more about this beautiful wild animal.&nbsp;&nbsp;Photos of the complete life history of the species, and research activities flesh-out this interesting nature talk.

Join us this Tuesday evening for a one-hour gentle fluid yoga class with instructor Sheila Armstrong starting at 7 PM in the Keys Community Room. We will practice asanas (yoga poses) and breathing techniques to come into the present moment, and create more space in our minds and bodies. Please dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat and a water bottle, and anything else that might make you more comfortable during class - a towel or blanket, blocks (if you have them), or a strap. Masks are optional and this program is suitable for all ages 13 and up.
Sheila lives in Milton and is a 200-hour registered yoga instructor and a certified Reiki healer. Her love of yoga started in the late 1990s when she was looking for a way to get grounded after finishing college and starting a new job as a middle school teacher. She believes that anyone can benefit from the calm and presence gained while practicing yoga, and hopes to help people take these benefits with them into their lives off the mat as well.

Anthony Mitchell Sammarco is a noted historian who is the author of over&nbsp;85 books on the development of Boston over the years, when he commenced writing in 1995.&nbsp; He teaches the popular course called "Boston History" at the Boston University Metropolitan College, and also has taught at the Urban College of Boston since 1997.&nbsp; His courses led him to be named "Educator of the Year" and he has receive the Bullfinch Award from the Boston State House, as well as several other awards and medals for this work.&nbsp; Also Mayor Raymond Flynn named&nbsp;him "The Dorchester Town Historian."&nbsp; This author's&nbsp;presentations are always so fun and interesting, and I am sure you will enjoy this one!

In honor of William &ldquo;Billy&rdquo; McLaughlin, a 37-year firefighter with the Milton Fire Department, the William K. McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship was established to assist relatives of Milton Firefighters in their educational pursuits.
Each year, one scholarship will be awarded in the amount of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars for the purpose of payment of college or post-secondary education tuition.
