This blog has evolved from mostly ramblings about my thoughts on mindful parenting to more of a photo-documentary blog about our lives as homeschoolers, and what the girls are doing on any given day.
I’m taking more and more of an interest in photography, so the photos are improving (I hope!) but I’m spending more time culling and processing, so I don’t update the blog every day. However, I take pictures almost every day. I’m not sure what proper blogging etiquette requires, but, since the purpose of this blog is to document our life, I have decided that it makes more sense if I publish the photos I took on the day I took them (even if I upload them at a later date.) If you follow my blog, you will get a few update notices all at once on a single day, and then none for a few days. I hope you won’t mind too much;-)
Here is the original description:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Living life and learning with a 2 3 4 5 6 year old and a baby toddler… an exploration of mindful parenting, life learning and radical unschooling as it unfolds in our life.
Here are two quotes (found here) that go well with the spirit of this blog:
Halfway between the past we can’t change and the future we can only imagine, we find ourselves in the present. Not just the present year, but the present day; not just the present day, but the present moment.* —Sandra Dodd
How you live in the moment affects how you live in the hour, and the day, and the lifetime.* —Sandra Dodd
Bonjour
Comme ma mère je lis ton blog. Intéressant. Pour la déscolarisation, on n’a pas encore sauté le pas mais mon conjoint hésite. J’habite à la Réunion depuis 6 ans où je suis professeur de SVT (mon conjoint Pierre aussi). Nous avons 3 enfants (Eline, née en 2003, Lolézio, né en 2005 et Castille, née en septembre 2009). Tu peux imaginer que les journées sont bien remplis. Je ne travaille plus qu’à mi-temps mais avec nos deux emplois du temps nous arrivons à n’avoir besoin d’une nounou que 3H par semaine.
Pour l’instand, nous avons pris l’option de continuer de travailler et de mettre les enfants à l’école pour pouvoir faire des économies et partir avec eux en grande vacances: nous avons déjà pris 6 mois il y a un an et demi pour visiter l’Ecosse et nous revenons de 6 semaine en nouvelle-zélande.
Nous envisageons d’arrêter de travailler tous les deux dans 4 ou 5 ans et faire le tour du monde avec les enfants sur plusieurs années. Ainsi, ils apprendront d’autres langues.
Je suis prête à avoir ton point de vue.
Il est tard, je vais me coucher.
Bises
Virginie! Encore une bonne surprise!
Si vous voulez venir nous rendre visite au Québec, ça sera avec plaisir! On a de la place pour vous héberger.
Mon point de vue pour faire le tour du monde avec les enfants??? Je trouve ça génial, biensûr!
gros bisous!
