What Can We Learn From the Similarities and Differences Between Lone Wolf Terrorists and Mass Murderers?
In a recent NIJ-funded report, researchers examined whether the trajectory toward acts of violence was similar for lone actor terrorists and mass murderers. They found that they are very similar in their behaviors before committing their crimes, but significant differences exist, including the leaking of intent prior to a violent crime.
