Oliver Gunasekara has over 20 years' experience in marketing and business development with technology companies. In 1995, he joined ARM to lead its mobile activities, initially working in Europe and then later in Japan and Silicon Valley. Over 12 years at ARM, Oliver licensed HW and SW to both semiconductor companies and mobile OEM’s and delivered a de facto standard for mobile CPU’s. His last role at ARM was Vice President of Corporate Business Development and M&A. In 2007, he joined video H.264 startup W&W Communications as Vice President of Mobile business (acquired by Cavium). Prior to founding NGCodec, he was a business development consultant to a number of mobile startups in the OS, security, imaging, and battery areas.
Oliver holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Greenwich, London, UK and a Mini-MBA from the AeA/Executive Institute, Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
VP ENGINEERING, CO-FOUNDER
Adam Malamy is a Silicon Valley veteran with over 20 years' experience in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) architecture, design, verification, and all phases of semiconductor development. He started his career at Sun Microsystems designing SPARC microprocessors. In 1994, he joined the 3DO company and helped develop one of the first 32-bit 3D graphics engine ASICs. He gained experience and seniority in a series of startup companies in the areas of microprocessor design and networking. In 2006, Adam joined W&W Communications and played a leading role in developing that company’s H.264 encoder and decoder FPGA and ASIC products. Before founding NGCodec Adam held the position of Director of Engineering in charge of Verification at Cavium, which acquired W&W Communications in 2008.
Adam has a BSEE and MSEE degree, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Neil is co-founder of Belmore Capital. Prior to establishing Belmore Capital, Neil practiced patent litigation law with a major Canadian law firm. He subsequently founded a patent litigation law firm Belmore Neidrauer LLP and has represented both tech and life sciences companies. Neil is consistently selected by peers as a leading advocate amongst intellectual property litigators, including in the 2014 Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada and LawDay’s 35 Leading Lawyers in Canada - Intellectual Property Litigation.
Neil holds a BA (High Honours) and an LLB from Osgoode Hall, Toronto.
Matthew is co-founder of Belmore Capital. Prior to establishing Belmore Capital, Matthew obtained the CSC designation from the Canadian Securities Institute and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
Matthew holds a BSc. (Physics and Math) and has pursued an additional year focusing on economics, from Queens University, Kingston, Canada.
Dan Lankford has more than 30 years of experience in technology companies as an executive, board member and investor. Dan has been CEO of 4 companies and chairman of 2 others. These include a European semi-conductor company that grew from $15M to $250M in 5 years and an energy technology company that Dan took from start-up through IPO into commercial operation, including building a 100,000 sq. ft factory. Recently he was founder and CEO of Element Energy, a battery management HW/SW company that had a successful sale to Maxim Semiconductor. He spent his early career at AT&T and Bell Labs.
Dan has a BS with honors from Johns Hopkins University and an MS as a Sloan Fellow from Stanford Business School.
