A Chest Full Of Potions

A happy giggle escaped Daisy Froggy Kiss, as she weaved the last spell into the potion that was brewing under her. Oh, how much she loved brewing potions. She could put the most wonderful of spells into flasks! Those she made just now were enabling potions. They could make you stronger, faster or happier than you ever were. You couldn‘t choose a wrong one, because none had a bad effect on you.
With a small motion of her hand she urged the liquid to flow into a flask. Then she loosened her feet from the roof, and did a backflip before she touched the ground. She loved to hang upside down whenever she could. And that was also the reason she never wore shoes. After all, they blocked her feet, and they felt clunky and useless. One small spell, and she made sure her feet wouldn‘t get hurt by stones or other things on the ground. And she never had to tie shoe-laces!
„Mistress?“ a creacky voice sounded behind her. The Oblivion X Dinosaur always had a creacky voice. Mostly, because he was fully build of metal. And partly, because he drank so much alcohol. Just now, he had a flask of it in his hand. From time to time he took a swig of it.
„Yes? What is it?“ Daisy asked.
„Master is back from his day in college. I just thought you‘d like to know...“ he grumbled.
„Awwww! Thank you for telling me, dear!“ Daisy jumped to him, and gave him a tight hug, even though her arms couldn‘t fully circle his neck. Then she kissed him softly on the forehead.
The Oblivon X Dinosaur was so surprised he accidentaly dropped his alcohol flask. Then he shook himself softly, so as not to hurt her. But he also growled, and was clearly displeased by her show of affection.
„Won‘t you go greet him, Mistress? And let go of me! Please….“ The please was nearly not audible, as he didn‘t like to use that word. Actually the only two persons he said please to, were Nathan, and Daisy Froggy Kiss.
Daisy laughed happily: „For you my dear, surely! And look what I made for Nathan! A chest full of potions! Do you think they will make him happy?“
„Hmmmm. I think so. Maybe. Lets go and tell him.“
They left the room with the chest of potions still standing there, and the forgotten flask of alcohol lying on the ground. Daisy skipped and jumped, and sometimes walked on the roof as the wen‘t to show Nathan the surprise.

Nathan was really happy with his day in college! When they arrived in the living room, he was just telling his mother everything about his day. Rhys had picked him up, and spun him around, and he‘d had lots of fun.
„Nathan! Nathan my dear! Honey, I have a surprise for you! Come!“ Daisy Froggy Kiss hugged him and took his arm in her hand. She pulled him softly to his room, where she‘d brewed the potions.
„You‘ll love this! I was busy all day, making this!“
„What is it? Tell me!“ Now Nathan was super exited too. He jumped and skipped, and clapped his hands in expectation. They always did that, Nathan and Daisy. Both were autistic, and they loved being like this. Jumping and skipping, and just being happy. They never would change themselves for anything in the whole world.
„You‘ll see! Right here! Look!“ She opened the door with a flourishing spell that weaved out of her samurai sword.
She felt Nathans confusion when he looked into his room. And then out of the corner of her eyes, she saw him look at her, as he felt her surprise too.
The chest was gone…. Close to where it had stood, there was a black portal. Or at least she thought it might be a portal. It did look like one, a bit.
„What‘s this? It looks like magic!“ Nathan called out. Already he expected an adventure ahead. Daisy grinned too!
„Lets see! Jump in, before it closes!“
They grabbed each others hands and jumped through, closely followed by the Oblivon X Dinosaur and a handful of curious Oblivon X Bats.
After a short flash of white light, they fell down onto soft ground, very unlike the floor of Nathans room. Daisy giggled, very pleased by the feeling of travelling without moving.
Nathan joined in, and the both stood up, hugging each other while jumping.
„That was so funny! How cool!“ Nathan laughed.
„It really was, darling! Lets do that more often!“
„Where are we?“ The Oblivion X Dinosaur asked, interrupting their happiness unwittingly.
They all looked around, seeing green and brown in every direction.
„It looks like a forest!“ Nathan said.
And it really was! They both loved forests lots, and had always wanted to have a cool adventure in one! Wonderfully green trees surrounded them and warm light filtered through gaps between the trees. Distracted by the beauty all around them, and by the thrill of the portal travel, they forgot for a moment, why they were here.
But then the Dinosaur grumbled: „Lets find the thief now, Master, Mistress. Those were our magic potions he stole. And he also took my precious flask of alcohol! We have to find him!“
„Okay, then lets go! Time for an awesome adventure!“ Nathan called. Then he looked around: „Where do we go?“
„Hmmmm.“ Daisy Froggy Kiss mused: „Oblivion X Bats, you fan out and look for someone with a big chest full of potions! We‘ll look around this place. I want my potions back, they were meant for Nathan, and only for him!“ Her eyes, which were normally blue suddenly blazed with a fiery red. Adventures were nice, but she had made these potions for Nathan, and when someone stole from her best friend, it had to have consequences for that someone.
The bats flew away in little groups, so that if they found something, they could show it to them better.
Nathan, Daisy Froggy Kiss and the Oblvion X Dinosaur stayed, and looked around. There were lots of trees, and some bushes. A few flowers colored the mossy ground. No thief.
„What now? I don‘t see anyone here… Lets just get walking. I wanna drink someth…..“ the Oblivon X Dinosaur was just about to say something concerning alcohol, when he stopped himself and turned around to look into the forest: „I just heard something!“
Sure enough, a bush rustled softly. They closed in on it, and Daisy Froggy Kiss was just about to make a spell to show who was inside the bush, when something rushed from it, and vanished in the forest.
„After it!“ Daisy called. She threw her sword in the air, and jumped onto it. When she landed, it wasn‘t a sword anymore, but a broom. It hovered in the air.
Nathan jumped onto the Dinosaur, like you would jump on a horse. He gripped two hard scales on its back, and held on fast. The Oblivon X Dinosaur might not look like it, but he could run very fast on his two legs. And jump very, very, very high!
He crashed through the forest with Nathan on his back, Daisy Froggy Kiss following closely on her broomstick. The wove through the forest, the trees that stood in the way were crushed by the Dinosaur or just jumped over. Even 20 feet high trees were no hindrance to him. His nostrils flared, trying to catch the smell of the thing that had been in the bush.
It was something black, sleek and fast, but defenitely not fast enough to get rid of magical hunters. In no time at all they had caught up to it.
Daisy Froggy Kiss flew faster, overtaking the Dinosaur, and when she reached the runaway thing, she cast a spell-net, which caught it mid-run. The spell was cast well meaningly, and instead of crashing against the next tree, the thing fell softly into the moss.
It was a cat. A big cat. Something like a panther.
„I don‘t think a cat would have stolen your potions Daisy.“ Nathan mused. Then he smiled: „But its a pretty thing. Do you think I could touch it? It looks so very soft!“
He went closer, and just as he was about to touch the panther, it hissed, and its form began to change.
Its arms stretched and became hands, and its head grew longer hair on top and a human face appeared instead of whiskers and mussles.
Its bright green eyes stayed the same, only the iris changed from slitted to round. In the end, there was a boy sitting there, looking like he was in his early teens. His hair black like the panthers fur had been, and his teeth were bared.
Then he seemed to realize he was now human, and he stopped that. Instead he fought to free himself from the net. Daisy Froggy Kiss helped him. He was a kid! She wouldn‘t have trapped him if she knew that…
„Sorry dear! Are you okay?“ she asked. He only stared at her, and stepped back a bit.
„Did you take our potions? We‘re looking for them.“ she aksed.
Nathan jumped in, when the boy didn‘t answer: „Hello! I‘m Nathan, and thats Daisy Froggy Kiss, and this is the Oblivon X Dinosaur, our pet. We‘re authistic, so we are like chilren. Like you! What your name?“
„I... I‘m called… Wist. Don‘t hurt me! Please, I did‘t see any potions!“ His voice shook with fear as did his body. Seeing that, Daisy Froggy Kiss came closer to him, and gave him a magical hug. It calmed him down, and he stopped shaking so much.
„Its all right! We‘re not mad at you for anything. We‘re really just looking to find our potions and not to hurt anyone. But still… Why were you in the bushes, and why did you run away from us? Oh, and might you mind telling us where we are here? We came by way of a portal. Its quite confusing.“
Wist stared at them: „Then you mean… You‘re not the witch‘s servants? You didn‘t come to take any of us?“
„I‘m a witch.“ Daisy said, and the boy jumped back from her in panic. Quickly she added: „ But I don‘t take people anywhere! What do you mean by taking anyone?“
„There‘s that witch in this forest! Thats why this forest is called the Witch‘s forest. Anyway, she takes the kids that live in here, and she uses them to pull out their magic…
Like… If she took me, she could take my changer magic out of me. Then I wouldn‘t be able to become a panther anymore. And after she takes the magic of a kid, that kid is enslaved by her, and has to work for her… Its cruel! And since there are only kids in this forest, and because she is a powerful witch, we can‘t do anything against her!
I was only looking to see if you were of any danger to us! The other kids are still in hiding. And I won‘t tell you where they are!“ He stared at them defiantly, apparently mustering up every ounce obf bravery still left in him.
„How cruel! How can anyone be that mean! Daisy! We‘ve got to help those kids! And show everyone that you are the best witch ever!“ Nathan was for once angry, which he normally never was! He was a nice person, but if there was one thing he hated, it was child abuse.
„Yes, lets go and get her!“ Daisy – normall just as nice as Nathan - was furious. Her eyes were flaming red and burning. It looked so much like a real inferno, that you could nearly feel the heat of it burn you. Wist stared at her in amazement: „Will you really free the captured kids? My younger brother was captured a month ago. Please please save him! I‘ll give you anything in return!“
„No, you don‘t have to give us anything. Where is this evil witch? Tell us, and we‘ll be on our way!“ Daisy said. She talked so fast, Wist could nearly not understand what she said.
Just as he was about to tell them where to go, the Oblivon X Bats sent a picture through the connection they had with Daisy and Nathan. It was a picture from high above (the view the bats had) and it showed a lonely tower in the midst of a forest. And they could also see themselves, standing by Wist in a clearing.
„There‘s a tower! Is the witch in there, Wist?“ Nathan asked.
„Y...yes! How did you know? How can you see a tower, with all those trees around here?“
They quickly explained, and then they said their goodbyes, promising to free Wist‘s brother.
Nathan jumped onto the Oblivion X Dinosaur again, and Daisy on her broomstick. It was only a matter of a few minutes, and they reached the tower.
The door was locked, but with a metal T-Rex dinosaur that was no problem at all. He just kicked in the door, and ripped out a part of the wall around it, so that he could pass through too.
„Evil witch, where are you!“ Daisy called into the dark room beyond. Without fear she stepped through the door with Nathan.
Suddenly, there was something around their ankles, and they were pulled high into the air. Nathan yelped happily, when he saw the monkey trap, that held him upside down in the air.
„Look Daisy! A monkey trap, how cool!“
She grinned at him: „Amazing! I always wanted to be caught in one! Look, I can swing around on it!“ And she did, giggling all the time. Nathan giggled too, and swung with her.
„We have to put one like this in my room too! Then we can swing around all we want, whenever we want!“ Nathan called. This was really one of the best feelings imaginable. He loved hanging upside down so much! Everything was the wrong way down.
„Who are you!“ a cranky old voice sounded from below them. Daisy reacted in a flash. She recognised a witch when she heard one. In a matter of one second she had cut both herself and Nathan from the monkey traps, and caught him, landing safely on both feet.
The witch stood before them, a potion in her hand. It was half empty, and she took another swig of it.
„Are you the evil witch?“ Nathan asked her: „Why are you so mean, and why do you steal the magic from children, and make them work for you! That is so cruel!“ He was really sad about all those things, but the witch didn‘t seem to care.
„Why you aks? Because I don‘t care about doing my work myself. Those little runts can do it! Clean up, cook, wash my clothes. Its the only thing those ever-children are worth for! They don‘t need their changer magic, to do those things, its far better for me to have it!“
„Ever children?“ Daisy asked.
„This forest. It makes those kids stay children forever. It also gives them the abilities to change into animals. Its perfect for me. New magic! Just like those potions here. Lovely! I already feel myself getting stronger, and faster and there is this lightness to my whole body!
„You wouldn‘t believe how uncomfortable it was, always getting older… And I was not blessed with the skill to make such potions.
„How wonderful. As thanks for making them, I will let you stay here, as my servant. You can make more for me.“ the old witch smiled.
The old witch was smiling, like she was doing Daisy a favour.
„I won‘t ever do that! Now, give back my potions and give the chilren their freedom and magic back! Then we won‘t have to fight you!“
But the witch just snorted, and said: „You can‘t win against me. I‘ve gotten unbelievably strong thanks to your potions! Just try and fight me!“
Then the first spell shot out of the old witch‘s hands, hitting Daisies katana. The katana cut the spell right into two, sending sparks flying all around the little witch.
Daisy fired straight back, sending a bright red flame at the old witch, who just caught the ball in her hands, and threw it back at Daisy. Daisy danced away, calling to Nathan: „Lovely, please go somewhere safe! Look for the children! I think they might be up in the tower!“
„Of course! I‘ll look for them!“ Nathan didn‘t worry about his friend. She would take care of this, and he believed in her 100% that she wouldn‘t get hurt. And he really wanted to help the children.
The Oblivon X Dinosaur was still in the room, looking for the chest of potions. He couldn‘t really help Daisy Froggy Kiss. The spells the witches were firing at each other were too strong, and he was afraid to get hit by one. Just now, there was a transformation spell flying against a chair, making it into a goat. Anyway, Daisy Froggy Kiss knew how to take care of herself. She was always completely confident of her skills.
But still, of all the grand and wonderful spells Daisy cast, only one small one actually hit the old witch, who was just too fast, and to powerful.
The spellt hat hit her was a small one. It was a sneezing spell. The old crones nose twitched, and then she took in a deep breath. Her whole body shook, as she sneezed.
Daisy used that time, to cast a shrinking spell ono the old witch. It hit her, and for a moment it really looked like she was becoming smaller. But then the old witch snapped her fingers, and she grew big again.
„Really, those lovely potions! I have never been this good at magic, in all my 200 years on this world!“ She took a bright green potion, and drank it in one go.
The Oblivon X Dinosaur called to Daisy: „Mistress, are you allright? Can I help you with something?“
Daisy smiled at him kindly: „You already did deary, thank you! Go outside, I don‘t want you to get hurt here.“
Confused the dinosaur left the room.
Daisy turned to the evil old witch, and bowed her head: „I can‘t win against you. I‘ll stay here, and be your servant… I‘ll make potions for you.“
„Oooooh! How wonderful! Go ahead, make me a potion to strenghten my magic even further! Come on! Hurry!“ the old witch was nearly dancing from joy.
Daisy smiled: „I already made one. Its that yellowish one over there. If you drink that, you‘ll become the greatest witch to have ever seen this world!“
Not even bothering to reply to Daisy Froggy Kiss, the old witch grabbed the flask, and drank it all down in one big, big gulp.
A hiccup escaped her, and a small flame found its way out of her mouth.
„I… I think I feel it! What is this strange feeling I get? Is it the power?“ She hiccuped again, and swayed softly. She lifted her wrinkled hands, to cast a spell. Bright light shot out of her hands, and she yelped. The bright light didn‘t stop flowing, and the old witch stared cross eyed at it.
„W...Whats… Going… On?“ She lolled.
Daisy chirped in: „Oh, nothing dangerous. You just drank the Oblivion X Dinosaur‘s alcohol. And mixed with all my potions, the alcohol is now pulling all of your magic out of you. With any luck, it will go back to its former owners again.
„It might be a little uncomfortable for you though.“
„You…. You little witch you!“ The old witch shouted.
„Yes! I am a witch, and I am little, and I am very proud of it!“ Daisy jumped up and down, and then called Nathan: „Nathan dear! I‘ve won! Where are the little children?“
Maybe he wouldn‘t hear her, but he would know that she had won, just by the mind waves she was sending him. I‘ve won! Come down, I‘m so happy right now, Nathan dear!
And he answered Yes! Of course! And up here, there are these lovely kids! They are really happy!
She could hear his happy laughter in her head, and a broad smile stretched across her face.
Nathan came jumping and skipping down, followed by about a dozen chilren. The children laughed, and changed into animals and back again all the time.
„We‘ve got our magic back! Oh, thank you so much!“ A kid said to Daisy, and gave her a big hug. Then he jumped to Nathan, and hugged him too.
The old witch just looked at it all stunned. Her magic had completely left her by now. The kids looked at her, and nearly couldn‘t believe it. The evil witch, defeated!
„What will happen to her now?“ One asked.
Daisy smiled gently: „I‘ll make her nice!“ And she went to the old witch, and set her hands onto the other witches heart. A warm light shone, and when she lifted her hands away, the old witch smiled.
„Thank you dear witch!“ She said, and then: „Hello little kids! Do you want to eat pancakes? I‘ll make you some if you want to!“
The kids shook their head and the oldest said: „Maybe sometime else, but now we‘ve got to go to the others, and tell them that we‘re all right! Thank you so much for your help, you two!“ He hugged them all (even the old witch, who was now a good witch), and then he asked Daisy and Nathan: „Can we somehow repay you two? You helped us all so much!“
„Well…“ Nathan mused. He‘d just gotten the greatest Idea ever!
„This forest does not have a real name, right? Its only called the Witch‘s Forest?“
The kids nodded.
„Then call it the Edna Jane forest please. That was the name of my great grandmother! That would be wonderful! And you all, just live a happy happy life, and spread happiness to all that come here. Right Daisy Froggy Kiss?“
Daisy nodded: „Yes, that is all we wish for!“
When they were outside again, Daisy made a portal with her magic katana wand. They called the bats, and the Oblivon X Dinosaur (who was sad and grunpy because his alcohol was gone, and because he had to carry the chest with the rest of the potions).
They stepped through the portal, and into Nathans room again.
„That was so lovely! It was great great great!“ Nathan called out jumping up and down: „We saved those children, and there were monkey traps! And you were just awesome! I watched you a bit, before I wen‘t upstairs to get the children. You were so amazing Daisy Froggy Kiss!“
Nathan hugged Daisy tightly, and she hugged him back: „Yes, it really was so special! Lets go back there someday, and celebrate with all those kids! Maybe now? The potions are safe now!“
Nathan nodded happily: „Sure! Lets go! Oblivon X Dinosaur, are you coming?“
The Dinosaur grumbled: „No… I‘ll look for some alcohol to drink. I haven‘t had alcohol in a while now. Have fun Master, Mistress!“
They smiled and then wen‘t through the still open portal into the Edna Jane Forest.

Maffy ><

If I find a picture I like. :3

Ankithadam Dec 5, 3:46 AM

Yeah the way you write your reviews is cool... giving gaps between paras...I'll try in my next review...and yeah I'll try to write 2 or 3 lines about other categories...and finally about zetsuen and shinsekai...I'll watch the former first then the later one

Ankithadam Dec 4, 5:44 PM

Thank you for the advice 😊(So it's gonna stay in reviews haha) .I didn't understand the part where you said about paragraphs...did you ask me to leave more space ? Or did I make too many paragraphs?... Sure I'll edit the "I" to I...😁 .I am always forgetting about it...And can I only talk about story in reviews? (Cos I mainly focus on story) or do I need to mention the other factors like art, music, etc?
So out of zetsuen and shinsekai yori would you recommend me zetsuen? Cos I'm confused which one to watch between them.... please don't ask me to watch both...cos I don't have much time😁

Ankithadam Dec 4, 10:20 AM

I need your opinion on zetsuen no tempest? does the hero have intelligence like lelouch?

kikikira Dec 3, 8:58 AM

You removed my review when I wasn't even breaking any rules. I did not reply to other reviewers, I just stated I don't agree with them. And can you not sound so snotty
