Oh so glamourous. I love seeing the different sides to Freja. She does a wonderful androgyny and a beautiful romantic. And now I see her in high glamour. The clothes are exquisite. The lace and the material are beautiful. I even really like the bowl cut with the clothes. It makes a nice change from the long pulled back prom hair that’s typically done with glamorous styling. Also, Freja just plays it up masterfully, knowing when to look at the camera and when to look away. Just stunning.

I don’t really know this magazine but I’ve been fairly impressed by it lately. Not to mention, I absolutely adore the look of this model. Strong brow with pink blush and side braid pulls me in every time. It’s a beauty look I do often myself. The styling is simple yet well crafted; the beauty is in the details. Like the discreet lines in her grey top in shot 5 or the stripes in her jacket in the shot above.

Who the fuck cares about plus size modelling? Or “normal” (aka waif-like) modelling for that matter? I certainly don’t. Here’s a gorgeous normal woman who happens to be a gorgeous model as well. I wish that more people would cast her cuz I would love to see her all over the place. I’m actually really sick of Crystal Renn. While she’s a decent model, people typecast her so often and do editorials that’s so specifically about size that I get sick of it. And yes, I do realize the irony mentioning “plus size” immediately brings it to the forefront. It’s a double-edged sword like that. While Laetitia is not a plus-sized model, she’s curvier than the normal waif-like model. And that’s wonderful. I love that Marc Jacobs opened with her for Louis Vuitton Fall 2010. She’s absolutely gorgeous and sensual in this piece. This editorial is most definitely a classic and will stay with me for a while.
And forgive me, I’m rambling about who knows what in this post.

Stunning photography. The pixel clarity is amazing. Not to mention gotta love the cat eye and beehive. Very 50s housewife but with a sensual twist. I find nothing wrong with the 50s redux we’re going through. While the gender roles and societal thinking during the 1950s left much to be desired, the silhouettes and craftsmanship during the time was excellent. Liking the silhouette of the clothes does not mean I want to be a 50s housewife (and we all know how I feel about gender roles). This editorial is a gorgeous piece of work with bright airy shots that suit summertime.

There are simply too many shots that I like from this editorial. I couldn’t really decide which one to feature since I liked practically all of them. Normally I’m not a big fan of print, especially animal print. However the sheer brilliance and excellence of this shoot outweighed my dislike of print. I love the painting feel to this editorial. It’s very artsy and romantic. Eniko does an excellent job and impresses me with every shot. The posing feels natural and sensual. Everyone already know show I feel about her body but god it bears repeating. Eniko’s got some spectacular curves on her which are showcased very nicely in this. Oh and the dark lighting and tint add a nice touch.

Adore the Dior-esque curls and braid. Not to mention the top hat. Bohemian romantics are right up my alley. Especially after Dior’s Fall 2010 show. While she kind of gives the same face all the time, Paulina does a respectable job. Also, I love her freckles. So cute. While I love the romantic blush and fan of lashes, I wish there was a bit stronger lip to suit the rest of the look. It needs a little something dontcha think?

With the curve of the sports bra, the messy hair, strong brow, pouty lips, and dewy skin, there’s something that naturally draws you in. I think sweat is sexy. It’s earthy, hormonal, and natural. Not only is the photography gorgeous, her natural style is excellent. Chelsea’s completely at ease in this and it shows. This series also has a softness about it that I really like. The not-quite black and white color is a nice touch. The color shots are lightly pigmented as opposed to highly saturated and cast it in a romantic light.
