The crimes that took place in Huddersfield are abhorrent and I am pleased to see today that justice has been served. It is a reminder that we have more work to do to protect vulnerable children and prevent this kind of exploitation and abuse.

In the run up to Sussex Makers: painted, printed and crafted which opens on 1 December we will highlight the makers that will be exhibited and have work for sale: Alan James McLeod produces mainly abstract pieces that are highly textural works on paper and fabric.

Fantastic to see has submitted a letter to Congress on their intention to seek a free trade deal with the UK. The UK-US Trade and Investment Working Group has already been laying the groundwork for a negotiation. Total trade between UK-US is worth more than £180bn
