"Their command of Wikipedia was impressive. Salisbury also had a population of 40,302. A figure they had been keen on reducing by two."

I'm just saying I wouldn't be un-interested in a feature-length comedy about two cathedral-loving Russian gays whose dream holiday to Salisbury via Bow turns into a nightmare when they're accused of carrying out a deadly nerve attack.

Kudos to Simonyan for expertly playing the quiet cop who brings out the guilt with her soft approach. "You have started to sweat. Let me turn on the air conditioner."

Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov, alleged Skripal poisoners, go on Russia Today to deny they had anything to do with it. They were very excited to see Salisbury cathedral. "Our friends had been suggesting for a long time that we visit this wonderful town," they say.

So I'm visiting my Uncle Boris in Salisbury when by chance I see my old schoolmate Sergei Skripal. He says would you like some of this bottle of perfume that MI6 gave me? I say no thanks, bye Sergei. I fly back to Moscow and next thing I know there's an international scandal.

Here's on one of the wilder public pronouncements from a top Russian official I can ever recall. Feels like a brand new level of self-delusion.

Viktor Zolotov, who just released wild video challenging (imprisoned) Navalny to a duel, had a habit of pulling sudden martial arts moves on high-ranking intel officers, if book about Sergei Tretyakov, who defected soon after this incident in a Brighton Beach cafe, is accurate.
