A few of our staff went to shadow the Just Us program, where we discussed Archibald John Motley Jr.’s 1922 painting, “Portrait of My Grandmother (Emily Motley)”. Just Us is an interactive experience for people with early-stage memory loss and their care partners.

Charles Ethan Porter was one of the first African American artists to study at the National Academy of Design in New York. The artist specialized in still life painting. "Still Life with Apples" (1886) depicts a precarious arrangement of imperfect fruits.
