Let’s dispense with the fiction that everything Trump does is good for Israel. He cares for Israel only so far as his policies toward Israel further his political aims and benefit him, and right now that involves using Israel as a shield for his own racism

"Nothing about this is pro-Israel. It's the opposite. In a country where Israel is already facing an uphill battle with younger Americans, bringing Israel into his racist demagoguery is the most anti-Israel act he could commit," writes :

Kinda weird to say you want to Make Israel Great Again when you've been the one running Israel for 10 years.

Imagine how little respect you must have for the intelligence of your constituents and American voters to say this with a straight face. If you’re going to defend it, at least own what he actually said.

Any responsible Jewish leader will vigorously denounce Trump’s attempt to link his own vile racism with some sort of defense of Israel. Not only is it disgusting on the merits, it is the most surefire way to cause support for Israel to plummet in the U.S. as quickly as possible.

in 1946 at Fenway Park, Ted Williams puts the icing on the cake with his 2nd HR (3-run shot) of 1946 All-Star Game to give AL a 12-0 lead that would be the final. Williams 8th inning HR seen here came off the famed "Eephus (Blooper) Pitch" by Pirates hurler Rip Sewell

About 3000 votes. I’m only surprised given the polling, conventional wisdom, etc. that Shmuli was going to far outpace her, which led to the pressure for her to drop out and endorse him. Turns out perhaps it should have been the opposite.

Surprised by the result, not so much that Peretz won considering that Shmuli and Shaffir were competing over the same pool of voters, but that Shmuli ended up in third.
