	У відповідь @yarbatman Had this exchange twice. My Q: Will China buy Iranian oil? A: We reject the imposition of unilateral sanctions, and for us the energy security is important, and the import of oil is important for Chinese energy security, and also for the livelihood of the people.

	У відповідь @yarbatman Careful on this. What the Chinese said was they reject US zero export pressure and they consider Iranian oil part of its energy security. They didn’t say we will import Iranian oil. I pressed the Chinese twice on this. They wld not say we will buy #Iran oil. Some missed nuance.

Population/numbers voting is one kind. One country = one vote is another. A conundrum the Americans dealt with via senate/house.

	This is a debate I’ve entered into little and @TimmermansEU has many qualities but how exactly does it strengthen #spitzenkandidaten process for commission presidency to go to candidate of party that lost? Surely it weakens it even in a continent where coalition govts the norm.-1

	У відповідь @yarbatman 4. Iranian officials are making maximalist demands around INSTEX—touching on oil sales and credit lines. No doubt Iran wants to put pressure on Europe to be ambitious. But in practical terms, INSTEX can help safeguard existing Europe-Iran trade. For now, this is a worthy goal.
