As a child of “pious Muslims from the hinterlands of Asia” I take Roger Scruton’s comments personally.
His views are abhorrent.

Think that's right. The Soros/Hungarian Jews stuff didn't fit in this piece, but the basic view (the underlying "nation" is determined by religion/Christianity/blood, and Jews/Muslims, no matter how long they've been there, don't really fit in) is the same.
