This is the reason why Kushner’s economic plan is a joke. The GoI will always use Pal. economic assets as hostage to Pal. “behavior.”

Cookies aren't the only items banned from exiting Gaza, also bottled drinks, like juice & soda. Some Gaza companies opened factories in the West Bank to compensate for obstacles they faced in the Strip. The jobs that are lost are precious.

Hanan Ashrawi takes a stand for human rights against the PA. But David Friedman won’t give her a visa to speak about Palestinian human rights in the USA. A shanda.

that has long been the U.S. message to Assad. joined also with this U.S. message: we will keep hoping a process to amend your constitution will get you to stop. & this message: in the meantime, you can bomb, shell as you want. just don't ask us to help pay for the clean-up.

I suspect that the Palestinians won’t judge their leaders nearly as harshly as they’ll judge the Trump “peace team” that has done everything in its power to sabotage legitimate Palestinian aspirations in exchange for a mess of pottage.

The Iranians see King Abdullah, with whom they have good relations, as one of the few potential intermediaries they would trust. Kuwait and Qatar would be two others.

Looking forward to our discussion of this and other peace process related issues at MEI on Tuesday, Khalid. As you laid out in your new book, Blind Spot, everything that Kushner is proposing has been tried before and failed. There’s no substitute for a political solution!

Here are my principal conclusions: 1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report. 2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct. 3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances. 4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

I say this as someone at odds with Amash on lots of issues important to me (and I think to him): All honor to Justin Amash, who has done so much today to set an example of constitutional responsibility and mature, civic discourse.
