My guess is that most microtransactions are either scrip or post-batch processed tho? Does scrip count as micropayment even?

This is smart, yes. You can’t have micropayments without either scrip or batch transactions or transaction subsidy. In some ways, microtransactions are the opppsite of merchant banking.
