Two years ago today, we started a movement. Forever grateful to my Sumud community, and proud that Sarura still stands and that the Youth of Sumud are the next generation leading nonviolent resistance

activists in Deir Ballut, a Palestinian village, built a shade structure for 200 goats and 6 cows, whose shade-pen for his animals was demolished by the occupation. In the blazing heat of summer, these shade structures keep the herds safe.

A photo from our recent leadership meeting. There is only one answer: a joint, nonviolent struggle, together! Learning to work together, with equality, dignity and respect - is an essential first step towards both personal and political healing.
