I think it shows *a lot* of character on Rep @AyannaPressley's part that she broke from The Squad to vote as her constituents asked her to, and a commitment to the seriousness of the office. It sounds like it was not an easy call, and the backlash is already fierce.

It seems weird to demand that an elected official ignore the explicit requests of their constituents. I'm personally not into legislating against BDS since it's a failed mvmt. But I am very into elected officials doing their actual job, listening to the folks who voted for them.

The most important part of @AyannaPressley's vote is not which way she voted, but *why* she voted as she did. In her thread she explains that it was because that was how her constituents - who sent her to Congress - wanted her to vote. In other words, she did her job.
