Cumhuriyet was established in 1924 as a Kemalist nationalist paper. Only during the past few years did it embrace a more liberal & objective editorial policy. Now it’ll once again be a Kemalist nationalist paper, whose many views are not so different from those of Erdogan. Sad.

When all the problems are over (if ever) in Iraq and Syria, it might be too late then for smaller religious & ethnical communities to rebound to normal living conditions in their ancestral homelands. It will be shame to see these countries without their native people!
