Studying Iran’s trade w/ Oman is interesting. The type of imported goods by Aprl (home appliances) shows it is a re-routing hub for Iran. Interestingly w/ Iran ceasing importation of home appliances to save FX reserves since Aprl, livestock feed &vehicles replaced home appliances

I would say a healthier economic relationship is needed (geography bounds them), where IQ should have a stronger industrial & agricultural base that can export to IR. Baghdad exports a fraction in value of what IR exports to it. And a less corrupt Iraq is needed to realize this

It is interesting how 's protests are being constructed. If al is instigating protests, wouldn't he be weakening his partner PM and hindering his coalition? Or is al Sadr targeting specific locations?

Riyadh, through a trade official visit to Erbil in mid-August, probably aims to counter Iran's economic presence in the region. One potential area of investment Saudis could be aiming for is petrochemicals, to wean off Erbil's petchem imports from Iran
