From severe hurricanes, to the effects of climate change, dangerous weather can happen anywhere. So, take the time to create an emergency plan to keep you and your family safe during extreme weather events. If we have a plan in place we weather any storm.

Thanks to and Tom Hoyer for your powerful testimony today before Senate to advocate for the bipartisan Eagles Act to make our schools safer. Thx for holding today’s hearing.

Robocallers are using fake phone numbers to scam consumers. This is an abuse of the system, exposes Americans to fraud, and pulls people away from work and family. That’s why I voted for the Act to put an end to these illegal and unwanted calls.

Yesterday, continued our efforts to & get to the bottom of Russia’s continued attacks on our democracy. The House has already passed legislation to protect our elections from foreign interference in 2020. It’s time for the Senate to act!

Bipartisan votes in House & Senate to end US support for war in Yemen. POTUS vetoed. Votes to reject “emergency” created to justify sale of weapons being used in Yemen. POTUS vetoed. Trump’s vetoes help perpetuate the worst humanitarian crisis on the planet.

I proudly support the PAST Act, which will end soring - the intentional infliction of pain to Tennessee Walking, Racking, and Sportted Saddle horses' front feet and limbs. This is an important piece of legislation and I am glad to see it will pass the House.

Why? Why did President Trump want to fire Special Counsel Mueller? Mueller lays out evidence in his report that the President wanted to fire him because Mueller was investigating him for obstruction of justice. That should not happen in America.

Anyone else who blatantly interfered with a criminal investigation would be arrested and indicted on charges of obstruction of justice. The law must apply to everyone equally, and that includes President Trump. He must be held to the same standard as every other American.

No president should be able to escape investigation by abusing his power. The President ordered Mueller fired. The White House Counsel knew it was wrong. And the President himself knew it was wrong. But the President did it anyway.

Trump and AG Barr tried to distort the facts within the Mueller report. We must move past the spin from the President. The facts of the report paint a damning picture of the Presidents actions.

Despite AG Barr’s attempts to obfuscate the truth within Mueller’s report, the facts remain clear: Trump obstructed justice. Mueller provided us with many examples of his obstruction and the American people should hear that Trump is lying when he claims he did nothing wrong.

Trump is not above the law, & the Office of the Presidency cannot be used to escape justice. Mueller makes clear that Trump obstructed justice multiple times. We deserve to hear directly from the Fmr. Special Counsel that the President’s narrative of “no obstruction” is fiction.

I am relentlessly opposed to the BDS campaign that seeks to deny the Jewish people the right to self-determination. You cannot achieve lasting peace & security for both Israelis and Palestinians if you support a movement seeking to delegitimize Israel's very existence.

“All emitters, resource companies, customers, consumers must play their part together with governments to meet the climate challenge.” Here's the head of the world’s largest mining company, a major carbon emitter, supporting policies to reduce emissions.
