Appalling that a Member of Congress would quote Mein Kampf anywhere, anytime, but especially from the House chamber. I have a rule: unless you're talking about Hitler and Nazis, don’t bring up Hitler or Nazis. That's true whether you are a Republican or a Democrat.

A highlight of last week's district work period was the huge announcement of a $40 million donation by to rebuild Neal Math and Science Academy in North Chicago. The new facility will improve student success, including more opportunities to gain important skills.

It was heartening to be with community members of different faith backgrounds at a vigil in Mt. Prospect in remembrance of the 50 Muslim worshipers murdered in New Zealand. Hate can only be defeated when good people come together & stand up to call it out.
