Earlier this week, the House of Representatives unanimously passed my bipartisan bill to address the gender gap in STEM education. The Building Blocks of STEM Act will encourage girls to find their passion in STEM at a young age!

This is why my bill, the American Manufacturing Leadership Act, is so important. Manufacturers in my district are facing a lot of uncertainty. We must continue to support programs like that help small/mid-sized manufacturers grow & thrive.

I was fired up on the House floor this week because I was speaking on behalf of the workers in who are worried about losing their hard-earned retirement. Congress needs to fix this! Let’s get this bill to the President’s desk before it’s too late.

Workers and retirees in want to know that they will get the secure retirement they worked their whole lives for. I helped keep that promise last night by defeating a GOP Motion to Recommit and securing final passage of the Butch Lewis Act.

42K Michiganders could lose their retirement benefits if we ignore the multiemployer pension crisis. The cost of inaction could be as high as $240B over 10 yrs. Last night, I secured final passage of a pragmatic fix: the Butch Lewis Act.

Proud to lead passage of the Butch Lewis Act last night. This bill will protect pension for over 1M Americans, including more than 42K Michiganders. This is a good, bipartisan deal, & it should be passed by the Senate NOW to prevent workers from losing their hard-earned benefits

This is unacceptable. Student loan debt is one of the biggest problems holding back American consumers today, and we need to be WAY more efficient in processing these claims. We must recognize that crippling debt hurts our whole economy, and take appropriate action to address it.
