Oh yeah, because they are genocidal antisemites who don't care at all about the suffering of their own people and hate Israel even more than they love power.

There is a very simple solution, actually, on Hamas's side: announce that it will give up the armed struggle and make peace, recognizing Israel's border with it, in exchange for its recognition as the government of Gaza. One wonders why they haven't thought of it.

Here's an easy solution: Hamas announces that in return for an end to the blockade and normal relations, it will give up armed struggle and make peace. That's it, conflict over.

Being this clueless must take effort. How to "solve a situation" with an enemy whose primary motivation/goal in its existence is to destroy you and your country?

At least has recognized that his bazillion reasons why Trump is a Russian agent or whatever was a "fantasy." Or does he still think it's true, but only think it was a fantasy that something would be done about it?

There's nothing in your HRW link (not that HRW is a reliable source as its institutionally hostile to Israel) that conflicts with my data about death tolls. Even HRW doesn't go so far as to claim more deaths than the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.

You are missing the irony/sarcasm, do you always try to contact someone's employer when you can't comprehend something?

If you call Arabs engaging in pogroms and genocidal threat against Jewish communities Israel engaging in scaremongering, then yes. If you are actually using normal English, you need to read some legitimate history.

But thanks for reconfirming my point. Almost no one who advocates a one-state solution is actually after equal rights, as such. They want an Arab majority state, period, with Jews taking their chances on toleration from the majority.

Few who are still alive is a Palestinian refugee, because any refugee today would have to be at least 71 years old. Palestinians are the only group, ever, who claim to inherit refugee status. By this standard, I'm a refugee from the Russian Empire.

And why did Arab states expel one million Jews since 1948? And why have there been genocidal threats from Arab leaders since 1948, including the infamous Arab League promise to throw Jews into the sea.

In fact, absent Gaza, Jews are still a substantial majority in Israel/West Bank. Yet no "one-stater" I've ever spoken to supports, say, Gaza becoming independent or part of Egypt, and Israel/West Bank one country, b/c the point is to not tolerate a Jewish majority.

Trusting your fate to an Arab/Muslim majority as a minority group would empirically be a terrible, suicidal bet.

Or maybe it's because no minority has been treated well in the Arab world since decolonization, including the ancestors of most Israelis who were forced out of their homes in the Middle East since 1948.

The economic gap, btw, wouldn't inherently prevent a confederated state, but would inevitably mean most WB Arabs working for Jewish-owned businesses for decades. Not politically sustainable.

The vast majority of people, when they say secular state, mean an Arab/Muslim majority state with Jews as a (hopefully) tolerated minority. Israeli Jews are not sufficiently suicidal to even contemplate that.
