I asked if I needed to sign for it. He gestured to my mezuzah on the doorpost and said that he knew to set the parcel down inside and not ask for a signature on a Saturday. (Many Jews don't write on the Sabbath, and don't carry objects outside the house on the Sabbath).

Such a lovely thing happened yesterday. I took delivery yesterday of an online purchase from - I don't know if the credit belongs to Next or to its delivery company, but the courier took the parcel right into the house and put it down, and then made to leave.

My colleagues made asparagus tarts, couscous, pasta salad, tiffin, flapjacks & lemon & blueberry cake. My son was not impressed that I bought fresh fruit. I was happy to enjoy the feast. Thanks to the very talented team.

Safet Vukalić, who is featured in our film, survived the Genocide in Bosnia. He was just 16 when ‘ethnic cleansing’ began in his neighbourhood. In 1993 he came to the UK as a refugee. All refugees have a story - read Safet's here:
