This is spot on. wrote an essay on this exact phenomenon. Policies that help a majority of people and are supported by a super majority of your voters are inherently centrist.

In normal times this is jaw-dropping news that would imperil a presidency. For Trump, it's just another week in the White House

Pete Buttigieg has an insane degree of natural sure-footed clarity in answering every question that comes his way during this CNN town hall. Not sure anyone else in the field right now compares.

I have rarely seen a candidate make better use of televised Town Hall than is on tonight. Crisp, thoughtful and relatable. He’ll be a little less of a long shot tomorrow.

People should be paying a lot more attention to in this presidential race. He's thoughtful and real, no posturing, with policy positions developed by observing the needs of real people.

I find it revealing when people mock where I came from, & say they’re going to “send me back to waitressing,” as if that is bad or shameful. It’s as though they think being a member of Congress makes you intrinsically “better” than a waitress. But our job is to serve, not rule.

When the American economy was at its strongest, overtime protections were at their strongest. The overtime threshold should be at least double the Trump administration's proposal. It's time to give the middle class a raise. More:
