Clematis:
In flower now. Common garden trailing plant. Originated in China & Japan. “Clematis” = climbing plant (Greek). Young stems are weak. Common name “Old Man’s Beard” refers to the long feathery seed heads. The leaves were used to treat leprosy. pic.twitter.com/8tyzACOrvS
