Jewish Book Day took place in the Grand Choral Synagogue of Saint Petersburg on Sunday, April 7 Over 1500 people participated in the event where they could buy Jewish literature for adults and children, listen to lectures about Jewish culture, and take part in different workshops

Women's History Month: Irena Sendler, a social worker, humanitarian, & nurse, served in the Polish Underground during WWII in German-occupied Warsaw. She saved 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto.

On March 27, Irene Weiss, the mother of NCSEJ Deputy Director Lesley Weiss, shared her personal experience during the Holocaust at In May 1944 her family was deported from Hungary to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Irene was 13 years old.
