The one difference I can think of between cases when police shoot dogs and when police shoot humans is that they’re less motivated by a feeling that they will be teased for not shooting to kill when they kill dogs. —

The very first question was what I was wondering throughout : Police shoot and kill humans all the time with little to no accountability. Why focus on dogs? 1) You can address both concurrently 2) It’s harder for many people to victim-blame dogs

Glad that includes Colorado Senate footage of drivers testifying about how they deliver packages to homes with dogs every day and are able to do so without harming or killing the dogs. Why are police consistently held to a lower bar than civilians?

“I always wonder why citizens don’t expect more from police, why they protest for a little bit and then go away, why citizens don’t take a more active role in demanding police reform.” —
