There I was thinking corporate journalists were just herd animals, part of a self-congratulatory club. Now I understand how 'lazy and dumb' I was. You guys have just proved me *so* wrong

Not only does she think she gets to define who's a journalist, but like her colleagues she is casually dismissive of the definitions of torture and arbitrary detention provided by leading experts in international law. After all, what do *they* know?

I wrote about exactly this topic in very similar terms – how Zionism ended up mirroring, rather than rejecting, the ugly racially based nationalisms that nearly destroyed Europe twice over in world wars – in this essay last year

Prof Yoav Rinon: Zionism's 'Jewish identity was at once, by necessity, both the complete opposite of, and the same as, the identity of the Jew created by the Nazis ... for it was based on precisely the same foundation – race'

LOL! What, are we surgeons? What 'ology' do you think journalists have? Assange has won lots of major journalism awards, which is more than can be said of 99.9% of journalists. He's a journalist

A reminder that the BBC has rarely departed from the state's line on political 'controversies'. In the 1980s, acclaimed writer Barry Hines couldn't get his script aired about police violence against the miners. The topic is still off-limits decades later

The good news is that the Swedish charade over Julian is falling apart. A court has decided, in effect, against a European Arrest Warrant; the suppression of evidence has failed; the zealots have suffered a huge setback. The battle against a vengeful US begins next week.
