In their new project "Conquer and Divide," @btselem brilliantly visualizes 52 years of occupation.

Glad to let you know that our @ForensicArchi collaboration with @btselem is now released. Take a few minutes to explore the territorial structure of the occupation of Palestine and its progressive establishment over the past 52 years. conquer-and-divide.btselem.org pic.twitter.com/DCsA3biCkK

Same answer from the crowd everytime someone asked where we were going:
"no one knows, the thing is to keep moving"

For those that read French – as far as a political analysis of the on-going, highly fluid uprising in France is even possible, this is probably the most intelligent one around today: lundi.am/Contribution-a…

No idea. And I'm not denying that some/many that are part of this movement might adhere to this chart. That's what's most unsettling about this uprising: you don't know who you're joining forces with.

What does ‘thinking’ mean in this context? I really don’t know. But the ongoing ‘thought in action’ (pensée en actes) surely seems to know what it’s doing in terms of destabilizing seemingly unshakable power structures.

The ‘official chart’ is by definition fake: if this uprising is gaining momentum, it’s because it has no leader, no official status, no clear agenda: it feels like people from all over the political spectrum are coming in and out of it from one week to another.

Not sure either, that’s the point: there seems to be a collective intelligence at work in this uprising, and perhaps thinking *with* it is more important than thinking *about* it.

Might regret saying this in a couple of months but: perhaps this a time to suspend strategic thinking and rational political calculus as to where this could lead, and to embrace the rupture, the ongoing disruption of business as usual — to venture into the breach that is opening.

As reluctant as I was – and still am – to supporting a movement initially triggered by a fuel tax, my gut feeling is that this may be the best shot we’ll have in a while at redrawing the rules of the game re: the climate and political economic emergency of the present.

Living in Paris, what I find most interesting is the staggering level of popular support that this ambiguous, undetermined movement of contestation already enjoys, and how quickly it has been gaining support (it’s only been a month)

... my feeling is there’s something genuinely new going on in France at the moment: a highly-decentralized, logistically savvy, collective intelligence of contestation has erupted. For better of for worse, it is already redrawing the horizon of the possible.

(Geo-)politically, this could go terribly wrong: popular anger with no common agenda seems like the highway to Marine Le Pen — a likely ‘coup de grace’ to an already dying European Union. But...
