Why companies both overplay and underplay Brexit: a) easy excuse when things go bad b) If you're a big international firm that sells consumer goods, and you want to close UK ops coz of Brexit, why antagonise big chunk of UK customer base (Leave voters) by saying so explicitly?

Stockpiling hurts operating profit -- which means less money for investment even if Brexit goes well. A Brexit deal investment dividend might not be as big as you might hope!
