When Bitcoin is the only money, and your "opinion" is that the "intolerant" rules of Bitcoin don't suit you, where are you going to rage-quit to? If you want to eat, you will need to use Bitcoin. No one will take your fantasy money. This is REALITY.

If you don't like being told that the Earth is not flat, then _you_ have the problem. It is not a problem of other peoples "intolerance" or "toxicity"; YOU are the one that needs to change, YOU are the one that is insane, and no, walking away from it all doesn't make it not true.

It isn't intolerance to say that Flat Earthers are insane. The Earth is not flat; that is a fact. There _are facts_ and there is truth. There is no such thing as, "my truth"; truth is not a private matter, it applies to everyone everywhere all the time. This itself is a fact.

It isn't negativity to alert people to a scam or a fundamentally wrong idea; it is in fact an expression of civic duty, and people who believe in "Society" understand as a very important act. It is not true that all opinions count and are equal. Some ideas are just plain wrong.

Here's a wild coin. An 1803 Spanish dollar minted in Mexico City that ended up in Derbyshire, England, where the Cromford cotton mill countermarked it to pass locally at 4 shillings 9 pence. Coin shortages encouraged private forms of money like this one.

First it's the Cookie Directive Then it's GDPR Now it's “Weaponized Copyright” The cookie directive was a test. It should have been universally rejected as a signal: BACK OFF.

Try - faster because the ads are blocked BEFORE they are downloaded... is good but still a little buggy from my experience.

The subjective theory of value is why you never waste time trying to discuss economics with Keynesians, Marxists or modern math-economists. If they think value is a metric that can be imbued & measured precisely, they have no hope of understanding prices, money or business cycle

Nocoiner stupidity as a teachable moment: Bitcoin's value is NOT because it is expensive to produce. Bitcoin is expensive to produce because people, subjectively, give it a high value. The value of all things is subjective. The cost of production follows the value.

Relationships with journalists and publications across the globe must be nurtured; they ALL must be using Bitcoin so they are stakeholders. Writing FUD about Bitcoin will then be personal to THEM, losing THEM money. Enlightened self interest is a powerful dissuader.

You might say that "we" don't need this now, but you would be 100% wrong. Building relationships takes time and is hard; don't wait till an emergency arrives to start putting out PR fires. Build fire stations IN ADVANCE OF CONFLAGRATION so you can contain, control and extinguish.

There are six people working on PR at BIS on a permanent basis. Together with outsourced PR, they show just how super-effective PR can be, and how journalists will print literally anything they are told. Bitcoin companies MUST DO THIS to adjust the narrative.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” BIS PR campaign in full swing. Tamagochi? REALLY?!!

In some sense the BIS argument that would clog the Internet is like extrapolating uncompressed data for distributing video content. What you say is that we cannot scale it naively. Yes, we've already figured that out. Mind your own BISness.

As each day goes by, we watch our government become more socialist, our freedoms taken away and Brexit being thwarted. While in the USA, Donald Trump is fighting for Americans, for their freedoms and their prosperity. Say what you like about him, he's 100x better than we have!

Whatever the inspiration for this utter nonsense, if they think their idiotic drivel will will dissuade anyone from using Bitcoin, they are completely mad. Everyone knows they're totally wrong, and even nocoiners are either laughing out loud or scratching their heads at BIS.

There are only two possible causes for this garbage. 1/They are computer illiterate and regurgitate the first anti-Bitcoin claptrap they find. 2/ They know that Bitcoin works and is an existential threat to BIS. This is the desperation of losers at the end of their tether.

Another example of computer illiteracy at BIS. With Lightning Bitcoin's block size is small and messages (money) routed just like email, with millions of transactions per second. Their disgraceful Sky Falling FUD and propaganda are Googled, not research. DERP (VIA )

This misreporting by Members, press & advocacy groups must stop. It is irresponsible and unproductive. As I have said many times before, if you are seeking asylum for your family, there is no reason to break the law and illegally cross between ports of entry.
