Sometimes I read something. Then I re-read it. And sometimes, I still don’t know what I just read.

Rarely seen flatbed scanner artefact. You'd see this all the time in the early days of ebay. Seller scans a watch with moving seconds, face down on a flatbed. Almost no one had a digital camera in 1999. Delighted to see it again. ( will also remember)

Being “that guy” again. 1. This is class B psychophysics (subject S reports a metric), not unbiased class A (S is a null detector, never knows metric). 2. The hard-wired 5-digit source map is in the palm. She still had all the median & ulnar nv branches.

I'm from the UK and I travel a lot with work. SF's homeless population far exceeds any other developed country I've visited. It's a humanitarian catastrophe.

And with that gif and those photos, it could only be the incomparable that did the photography.

Having visited 6 countries this year, and walking around in large cities, I am convinced more than ever that SF, and the wider United States has a serious homelessness problem that in many way is unique.

These are all examples of people that are pre-convinced of the rightness of their opinions. Trump, Nixon, and yes… Kennedy. At least Kennedy could deal with nuance.

The dumbing down of America… Starting at the top. Not criticizing the Agency. This is absolutely a smart move. It is just depressing… that is all.

More likely: Our brains are pre-wired to accept *additional channels of information*, rather than a predetermined set, shown perfectly in the study reintroducing trichromacy to dichromats. The real question to my mind: How many additional channels of information could we accept?

If this happened in a space movie I'd roll my eyes hard and turn it off for the ridiculousness of it. Wow.
