Al-Bīrūnī (d. c.1050) wrote his astrological handbook "al-tafhīm li-awā’īl ṣinā‘at al-tanǧīm" for a woman called Rayḥāna Bint al-Ḥasan Little is known about her, but she was probably a member of the Khwārizmian court who studied with him at Ghazna. (BL Or 8349, f. 2v)

FYI the shelf mark IO Islamic signifies India Office written in Arabic script as opposed to Indian/Devanagari script. This was to distinguish two sequences both called IO. The shelf mark relates to the sequence ms is part of NOT content which is Iranian not Islamic
