Israel: Arab-majority parties Hadash (Left), Ta'al (Arab), Ra'am (Islamist) and Balad (Right) have met to discuss the reestablishment of Joint List (GUE/NGL). Joint List was a coalition of Arab-majority parties that split up before the last election in April.

Taiwan: President Tsai has won the DPP(Liberal) primary for president, defeating former PM William Lai with 35.68% to Lai’s 27.48%. The primary was an opinion poll with a hypothetical vote between the DPP candidates, Han Kuo-you of KMT (Conservative), and Ko Wen-je (*).

Taiwan: Public opinion poll regarding the candidates of ruling DPP (Liberal) Party took place today. The two candidates are current president Tsai Ing-wen and former PM, William Lai. Results are expected Thursday afternoon (Taiwanese time), says party official.

Israel: Chairman of the Labor (S&D) Avi Gabbay announces he won't seek re-election in the Labor primaries planned for July 2nd 2019. This follows him leading his party to only 6 seats in the Knesset, a historic low for the party.

Kazakhstan: Exit polls suggest the candidate of the ruling Nur Otan party, Tokayev, has won 70% of the vote. The prospect of a democratic handover of power in Kazakhstan is "an illusion", Human Rights Watch has said, with the elections labelled neither free not fair.

Kazakhstan: The country goes to the polls tomorrow in a presidential election. Incumbent president Tokayev is likely to win re-election. In 2015 the candidate of the incumbent Nur Otan Party (Right) managed 97.75% of the vote in what was labelled a sham election.
