Directions for Life’s Journey
“We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves.
If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions;
so we have to know how to act.”
-Swami Vivekananda

Of Cabbages and Kings
“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings-
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings.”
-Lewis Carroll
(from the poem- ‘The Walrus and the Carpenter’)

So true. our actions make us who we are.

You may find this interesting… but the first time I came across the term ‘of cabbages and kings’ first time when i saw your handle name on twitter… almost 2 years ago. I googled more about what it means etc. Later on it came handy to me for one of my blog-posts :-)
