Faculty Artists Recital Series: Matthew Zalkind, cello with guest Julio Elizalde, piano
Matthew Zalkind is Associate Professor of Cello at Lamont, praised for his “impressive refinement, eloquent phrasing, and singing tone” by The New York Times. Pianist Julio Elizalde is a multifaceted artist who enjoys a versatile career as soloist, chamber musician, artistic administrator, educator, and curator. They team up on the first FARS event of the Winter Quarter.

Anton Nel, piano
Winner of the 1987 Naumburg International Piano Competition at Carnegie Hall, Anton Nel continues to tour internationally as recitalist, concerto soloist, chamber musician and teacher.
He'll perform a recital on Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30pm and a masterclass on Thursday, January 19 at 4:00pm.
