This is the retail version of the Vive. You can currently play 2D games in the headset, but I didn’t bother because that defeats the purpose of owning the Vive. In my opinion, it’s all about walking around in VR.
If you love technology, you’ll probably love the HTC Vive. It’s one of the most advanced gadgets you can buy. There’s really nothing else like it. For that reason alone—I think it’s pretty damn cool. I just wish there were better games!!!
I hate Elite Dangerous. It makes me nauseous, and I’m generally not into dogfighting games. Plus, it doesn’t take advantage of room-scale tracking!
The Oculus isn’t really optimized for room-scale VR, and they’re certainly not promoting it as such. The best Oculus games are platformers or space shooters or others that don’t require much movement. The HTC Vive is the exact opposite: All of its best games require a 6-foot by 5-foot area.
Yes, in this case. But the original $400 maintenance-free bike had three speeds, a belt drive, and no chain derailleur. Check it out.
